Winning a NY6 bowl game is a great and finishing better than Hayden Fry did in his entire career is great yes
So is #9 great, but #10 not great? Just curious, I not arguing with you, just interested in how some people view it. I can get behind a top 10 finish being a great team.

How can you say that? The final AP poll considers the NY6 games, I thought we went by the final AP poll, not just one single game? So you are saying that Clemson didn't have a great season since they got rolled by OSU? If you are, that is laughable.

So where you finish in the AP poll determines greatness? I'm confused here, you said if you get blow out in a bowl game it is hard to say you had a great season? Clemson got blown out in their very big bowl game.
I mean if you finish top 9 you had a great season. 10th is where you have to evaluate more info (who you played, bowl game performance, etc)
Finishing #10 and actually winning a conference championship will always be a great season.
With lack of 2022 prospects on the horizon for Iowa, KKKirk’s age and the racism issues Iowa is going to drop like a rock. Sure hope you enjoy the spiral down.
I umpired hs baseball in the metro years ago. George Davis was our supervisor. If you know DSM sports you know George. Anyway had a long talk with him years ago. ( before the marine got the job)
My plan was to organize camps and flag football leagues at their feeder schools. Have your players participate in their gear on Saturday mornings. Find sponsors that will supply the young kids camp type swag along with drinks possibly lunch. Young kids idolize kids that will give time to work with them. Flood their closets with polar bear gear and you'd be amazed what a difference it could help.
The last Northside kid I can remember at Iowa state was a DE from Dowling. Can somebody help me with the name? ( Smith maybe?)
