You in turn said it causes them to play a lot of zone because of his limitations. So, how good have the defenses been if they have to specifically do that because of one player? You only asked about one player.

Bolton would still start over Bohannon. You're so concerned about Connor. They don't need him to shoot well when the other 4 starters shoot over 40% from 3.
You should probably focus on Rasir Bolton's shooting regression while at ISU. 36% as a freshman, to 34% as a soph to now 23% as a junior. That is a big yikes. He's supposed to be the team leader.
How good have Iowa's defenses been under Fran? Not very good. Not sure you can pin it entirely on Bohannon. You in turn said it causes them to play a lot of zone because of his limitations. So, how good have the defenses been if they have to specifically do that because of one player?
I don't think so. He's an inefficient chucker.Bolton would still start over Bohannon.

He's absolutely limited athletically which is why they play a lot of zone.
Yep. Amazing a starter goes 0-7 and they still shoot 50% and get a win. It's nice to have a lot of young depth.Yikes
Bolton would still start over Bohannon.
I disagree, Bolton is much more efficient from the field. Bolton 47% to Bohannon 39%I don't think so. He's an inefficient chucker.
If he moved to SG his turnovers would cut in half.I'm not so sure. He turns it over a lot and his defense is suspect too.
It's not rocket science. Yes, Bohannon is limited athletically. No secret to anyone. They also play zone because that is what Fran likes to do. They always have and always will. It does help protect Bohannon. It also helps keep Garza out of foul trouble. They do a good job of mixing defenses. You said:

He wouldn't get the same garbage time baskets if he was playing for Iowa. They haven't been down double digits in the 2nd half more than twice.I disagree, Bolton is much more efficient from the field. Bolton 47% to Bohannon 39%
Because that's what Fran likes to do? And we can all agree that strategy hasn't been really all that good correct? It's not rocket science. Yes, Bohannon is limited athletically. No secret to anyone. He's averaging 3.4 to's this year and averaged 2.8 last year. He's not starting in front of Fredrick or WeiskampIf he moved to SG his turnovers would cut in half.
He shot good last night and it was a close game until the end.He wouldn't get the same garbage time baskets if he was playing for Iowa. They haven't been down double digits in the 2nd half more than twice.
Fran mixes defenses throughout games. They don't just play zone all of the time.Because that's what Fran likes to do? And we can all agree that strategy hasn't been really all that good correct?
You guys would all be killing us if we said that about Prohm.
I never said or insinuated all of the time.Fran mixes defenses throughout games. They don't just play zone all of the time.
he can't shoot from 3 which is what Iowa needs around GarzaHe shot good last night and it was a close game until the end.
