Iowa Football Recruiting

Yeah and then you lied again when I said beating out Iowa for a recruit that was a Hawkeye fan hadn't been done and you said Rhoads did it.

Not even sure what you are talking about? I never said Lazard was a Hawkeye fan, just that he was a big ISU fan and probably a Jr Cyclone club member like Imming.

So the same win percentage as Iowa last year. Nicely done.

Holy ****. I would love to fall for your pathetic troll but I won't because either your too stupid to read or you are reading it and don't have a better response.

Not surprising, I didn't think any of you wanted a real discussion.

So now you're admitting this is the first time Iowa State beat out Iowa for a recruit that grew up a big Hawkeye fan?

Where is 2020 in these numbers?

2015: 51%
2016: 56%
2017: 63%
2018: 63%
2019: 64%

Isn't 9-3 75%? Don't need to answer, I don't think I can handle another data gymnastics move.

And please stop the drama queen routine with my quotes. I never said Iowa was going to suck and I never said ISU was going to be awesome, so I won't say that now. I will say what I have said since the beginning of our discussion. I think Iowa is entering or in a period where they will trend down, fade if you want and ISU will continue its upward climb. If that plays out, what might look like two programs on the same level now will look quite a bit different 1 year and 2 years from now. And I went on to say, it will be interesting to see if Iowa takes action to address this.

Sorry if the data is unclear. Each year is the teams winning % from that year to the present. Does that make sense?

Iowa will certainly fade from their current winning % at some point. They don’t have the tradition or recruiting base to stay a 70% winning program.

From '15-'19 Iowa played 9 Big10 East teams that were ranked in the top 25 in the final AP poll with 6 of those 9 teams being top 10 teams. Iowa faced 6 teams that were unranked from the Big10 East.

Keep pretending Iowa doesn't face top Big10 East teams.

But you don't face the same teams, like OSU, every year, whereas we play a perennial top 10 team in Oklahoma every year.
God, you are such a dumbass on here any more. Barta must cherry pick the schedule for Iowa every year. Get back to us when you play a perennial top 10 team like Oklahoma every year.

Im not certain, but I doubt it. I don’t know every kids favorite team growing up that then became Cyclone players. I’m betting there were several ISU kids we offered PWO that took a ISU scholarship instead.

Got it and that explains the numbers better. I am going to suggest having the first 2 years of CMC program in there, and this would apply to any school, probably skews that. I am looking at it from a plots on graph standpoint where this year for ISU would indicate an outlier and trend change. Of course, that could fall apart next year but it certainly doesn't seem to be setup that way.

What other Hawkeye fan chose Iowa State over a scholarship offer from Iowa?

Im not sure what ISU players grew up Hawk fans, so I’m not sure? I mean do kids only go to the school they rooted for as a kid? I do know that Iowa has lost several kids who grew up Hawk fans to other schools.

Yea, that's not how that counting playing a ranked team works, but you knew that.

I agree and that is why the ‘18 numbers for instance don’t include the ‘16 and ‘17 seasons. That just entails ‘18-‘20.

Sometimes I just think ISU fans think it is super easy to win games at a 70% rate for a long time period, when it isn’t. Iowa is currently in a very strong run for them or for most P5 programs frankly. Iowa’s recruiting over that last couple years also suggests this should continue for a few more years anyway.

WTF are you talking about? Did ISU lose to a ranked ULL or not? Of course they did, don’t be stupid. When a season is over you judge how good the teams are that you played by their final AP poll ranking.

I thought before the summer KF had 5 years left and we would see the game start to move BF in - a la KSU Snyder story. I do think the 'July Event' and ISU's success ( I am not trying to overstate that but the fact it is an instate rival and that will amplify effect on actual recruits and what the rabid fan base wants) have probably made that 2-3 years. But, If ISU falls on its face and Iowa gets to CCG, could all change.

I get you’ve caught feelings for me, but the feeling is not mutual. Please stop catcalling me.

I'm surprised you can read with your head up your a**. There are apps out there if you need to find a date/mate. Sorry I've been married for 29 years and happy. Unlike you who comes over to a rival site for there own person gratitude/satisfaction.

Thinking you and legend hawk have a lot of similarities from your posts.

1. Horrible trollers
2. KKKirk is a god
3. No racial issues with Iowa Football
4. Think every recruit Iowa gets is NFL bound
5. Both on rival site
6. Both have had multiple usernames on here
7. Info on recruits is always bad

I could go on... but dang you and legend have a lot in common

I'm telling you I follow recruiting and Iowa State landing a big Hawkeye fan over Iowa who offered as well has never been done
