I know for a fact Bruce reached out to Iowa State and wanted on board after the racism stuff this summer and this was confirmed by someone who hates Iowa State more than he likes Iowa
Iowa took Goodson's commitment and let Brock walk. Purdue also walked away from him before Iowa even did. It was all well discussed on the Rivals pay boards before he even picked ISU.
