BBBWWWWWAAAAAAHAHAHAHA! eiu gets dropped FROM Nashville!

2009 was a good season for sure, and will go down as the biggest "What if" season ever for Iowa. In that "What if" Stanzi doesn't get hurt vs Northwestern and they blow that 10 point lead.

The bigger what if is what if Shonn Greene would have came back for his senior year? That was the only hole on that team. I think they win the NC with Shonn Greene back.

That was the best season in Kirk Ferentzs career

Don't confuse highest ranked with best season. When CMC gets you 5 different top 10 finishes you will begin to understand this and deciding between what top 10 finish is truly the best is highly subjective.

If winning a NY6 bowl and finishing 7th in the country wasn't Kirk's best season what was?

Well there’s something you can blow right out your ass.

Either way the 2009 season will always be the biggest "What if season" for Iowa.

You trying to compare that #3 ranked Stanford team with McCaffery to unranked Oregon who played 6 games this season? LOL man.

They weren't #3 and Oregon wasn't unranked but Pac 12 North nonetheless. It's understandable you're having a tough time with Iowa State beating the f*** out of a national brand like Oregon in the Fiesta Bowl.

I already told you. 1) 2002 and 2004. 2) Iowa's 2015 Regular Season Conference Championship.

As I said when you have 5 top 10 finishes there are more important determining factors as to what season was best than just which top 10 finish was highest.
Getting blown out in the Orange Bowl

Winning the Capital One Bowl

Getting blown out in the Rose Bowl

Those are the three best seasons under Kirk? Yikes!

Oregon isn't close to a top 25 team, the final rankings will show that. Also Iowa beat a "brand name" USC team last year, that doesn't change the fact they were a garbage team just like Oregon this year is a garbage team.

You asked what the best season was, not best bowl game. I'll take a conference title over a bowl game win every year.
