The BIG 12 conference does not recognize "regular season" football champions since 2017. But if that's what you want to stamp on a t-shirt be my guest.

Nobody is stamping anything on a t-shirt. But ISU played everyone and won more games than anybody else against the same schedule. It really is indisputable. These critiques are odd coming from fans of a league that is widely regarded to have a division structure designed to allow some weak teams to finish with respectable records.
Iowa fans are the only ones I know who don't recognize it. ESPN does not like Iowa State football and they even recognized it

When people were ******** about ISU in the CFP hunt, it was the weak divisions of other P5 leagues that kept their teams from having a solid argument that they should be in ISU's place instead. My God, the idea that you actually play everyone to determine whether you are good or not has become absolutely foreign to a lot of college football fans.
