I think Coastal should have gotten Cincy's spot. Their ire should be toward Cincy getting in over them. Their resume is far superior to the Bearcats' resume. UCF getting absolutely dismantled in their bowl game against a BYU team Coastal beat isn't helping Cincy's image either. UCF is considered their first or second best win and they trailed 90% of that game against UCF to win by 3 in the end.

In the end, the CFP Committee has used eye test more than anything in their decisions over the years. So I expect them to use the eye test when filling out the NY6 games. Eye says Iowa State and Florida pass the test. Coastal does too. I don't think Cincy does because honestly, but it is what it is.

What am I trolling? This site has said for 6 years that Iowa was a "Fake ID" in 2015, because 1 media member said so. He is in the business of stirring up ****, but everyone here seems to think that was ok. I am simply pointing out that many more than 1 media members says ISU didn't deserve their spot in the NY6 this year.

Too bad your buddy Gary Barta didn't use "deserving" when he was talking about Iowa State. "Bone" would have sounded so much better to all the whining hok fans that were looking up to Iowa State on the CFP ranking shows. LOL.

Florida was #7, no way can you keep them out of a NY6 bowl. For ISU though it isn't so clear. Like it or not, ISU is the last team in the NY6 so they will always be questioned. Florida, OU, Cincy, Georgia, A&M (NC and Oregon auto bids) are all set, no way any of those teams don't go. The last spot was ISU so of course people will question it. I mean I personally feel no Big10 team deserved to be in, but many do and feel a 1 loss Indiana should be there. Some think an undefeated Coastal deserved it, and I get that. In the end though I think the committee throwing ISU a bone as they have never been to a NY6 bowl was the right call.

Yes, because it was between 3 teams for that last spot. It came down to ISU, Indiana and Coastal. Florida was set it stone, they were already in the NY6. If Indiana or Coastal got that spot I would be saying they got thrown that bone. What don't you get about this?

It wasn't one media member that earned Iowa the "fake ID" tag. It was getting down 35-0 in one half to Stanford that did it.

People are always going to be skeptical of teams with good records in the kiddie pool division of their conference, but that Rose Bowl cemented it.

I'm not sure about past years. This year it came down to ISU, Coastal and Indiana. The committee had to decide who to throw the bone to, and ISU got it.

Not sure why this upsets you, or why you are busting my chops. ISU got the bone, and I agree with that.

And in this case Indiana was the one thrown to the ditch by their own conference by the changing of the rules to get OSU and not them in the CCG. Money trumps integrity every time in big time college football. Coastal was done in by their lack of a CCG due to COVID. ISU was the only one to actually play in a CCG, losing yes, but to another top 10 team.

That is the way I see it and it is why I keep saying that ISU deserved that bone. I disagree with all the media saying ISU didn't deserve the spot.

So why aren't you on the UNC and Oregon boards complaining about undeserving teams getting autobids when there are more deserving teams getting nothing? That seems a hellova lot more 'broke' than ISU getting a bid after finishing alone atop one of the P5 Conferences after playing a full round robin slate of games. Oh, that's right, the B1G gets the autobid to the Rose Bowl most years... never mind.
