Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

I've proudly have not watched Iowa Basketball yet this year
OK, I have an a scheduling question. Why doesn't the B1G just play 19 conference games broken up via:
Home and home vs your football division=12
Alternate home and and home vs the other division=7.
For Iowa to only play Illinois once and play Rutgers twice is pretty dumb.

I'm not judging the teams, I just think proximity wise you'll draw more fans vs neighboring States.
And yes, I know it's a Covid year in regards to fans but in general why not do a schedule like I listed?
Ahh ok, I thought otherwise. Yeah I don’t know what the deal is. In Kevin Warren we trust lol.
I'm sure Indiana & Purdue fans wouldn't like it by playing each other only once but that's the only "natural" rivalry that looks like it would be impacted.
That claim will be quite a bit easier to make if he does that against a team with more of an actual pulse
He has over 100 points in just 3 games. No matter the competition, that is incredible.
I get the point but if you remember last year he even turned it up another notch in Big Ten play i think 26 ppg and 11 rebounds. He's setting impossible standards to top this conference season but we know he won't disappear like some of Frans past top players
