*** Official South Dakota State vs IOWA STATE Game(Day) Thread ***

Keep getting the lead down to 9, but then can’t make the next play to keep the momentum going. Hoping the ball starts to fall soon, otherwise they are done.

This is the scariest part of it all to me. Keep Prohm and this type of play and winning a total of 10-13 games we are gonna lose players and recruits which sets us back even more years.
He's had two pathetic seasons recently in the basement and somehow has seemed to keep getting recruits. He's sort of failing up in terms of recruiting, and it's actually kind of remarkable. Fred's recruiting fell off a cliff at the end after some great seasons regardless of the reasons. Prohm really does seem like a bad coach that's obvious. That being said I honestly don't think recruiting will fall off. I think talented kids these days like the idea of being able to play this AAU pick up style offense and never getting yelled at. I think winning actually is farther down the list for lots of basketball recruits than one might think.

That's what I don't understand. I HEAR the stuff CSP says but unlike CMC, NONE of his focus areas have improved. Rebounding, jacking up 3s, "defense" - none appear different and none appear better.

I said the same thing a year or two ago. Questioning what our identity was too. Someone pointedly said out are you really surprised? The answer is no, I just wanted badly for Prohm to succeed, but we all know who he is at this point. He can recruit, but his coaching is average.

If..IF...he had an opportunity to leave for a gig back closer to home, he would take it. So start praying something opens up this year.

Nobody is going to pay him what we are paying him a year. I would not be surprised if is coaching career ends after us. So he is setting up his retirement fund here till 2025.

Winning those Big 12 tournaments may have actually hurt this program long term because that was the only thing Prohm could put on his resume for keeping his job.
