Iowa Football Recruiting

Don't even know what a healthy KSU would look like at this point. I think Purdue vs West Virginia would be a good game to be honest. Their QB is decent and their receivers are awesome.
Okay I'll give you Purdue. I like them and think their offense is good enough to keep them in many games. I think they'd match up well with KSU and WVU. But not Minnesota. And I know, I know, the Gophers beat Purdue but that was bull s*** lol.

Either way, I think the major reason why the Big 10 is down this year isn't because teams like Indiana and NW are good, it's because teams like Minnesota, Penn State, and Michigan are flat out bad. You then throw in Nebraska, Illinois, Rutgers, and Michigan State who are also bad and the conference just falls flat. If some of those teams were 3-2 like Iowa, it'd be entirely different but they're all below .500.

W. Virginia and a healthy K-State are better than Purdue and Minnesota. And the only reason Minnesota beat Purdue is because of a horrific PI call. TCU is probably on the level of Minnesota. TT and Baylor are around Nebraska and Illinois level and Kansas is just awful.

That's one of the dumbest things I've ever read. K-State simply lacks offensive talent and are still rebuilding the program. They might not have anyone drafted again this year. Minnesota's problems are well-known and they've been without several key players this season, including 25 out last week vs Purdue. K-State hasn't had the issues MN has had. That being said, K-State or W. Virginia quite simply do not have the skill players that Purdue or Minnesota possess and likely are even defensively. I don't think anyone with a sense of sanity are going to say a healthy K-State or WVU team is better than a healthy Minnesota. They are likely on par with Purdue when it comes to their record.

A metric is a metric is a metric. Not sure how this year is any different than any other?

Are you really that ducking stupid. This year has 3 unconnected data sets and the other 14 conferences are tied by one week of data at best. Typical Hawkeye education, or a piss poor troll that needs to be banned for being so bad.

Minnesota, Penn St and Michigan are all bad right now. Can't argue that. Maybe could argue Covid to some extent but Penn St and Michigan are head scratchers. Both teams have talent but it's just not working for some reason. Wheels are coming off.

This post would be right if every single thing in it weren't wrong. K-State has been missing their starting QB for essentially the entire year and has had COVID issues multiple times, including last week where our game against them almost got cancelled. Minnesota lost almost everyone on their defense from last year and that shows considering they're statistically one of the worst teams in the nation against the run.

I can tell you don't watch any Big 12 games because you probably couldn't name a single player on either K-State or WVU, so you have no idea that both teams actually have quite a few talented guys on their rosters. Watch a few games outside of the Big 10 buddy.

Iowa State, Oklahoma, Oklahoma State and Texas are way better than Iowa. Iowa couldn't beat Purdue without Moore

WVa is better than Iowa. I'd put Iowa ahead of a depleted KSt and on par with TCU. Tech and Baylor both are talented enough to beat the Hoks. I feel comfortable saying they'd beat Kansas.

Penn State is missing their two best players this year. That could be a huge reason, but still doesn't negate their losses to Maryland or Nebraska. Michigan is just bad. Maybe they figure their s*** out with their backup QB who looks to be much better than their original starter.

The fact Iowa can't throw a forward pass puts them in the bottom tier of the Big 12 IMO

Minnesota was gifted the Purdue game and should have 1 win. KState and Manhattan in general have been hit hard with COVID.

Penn St being this bad is mind boggling. That's not a dig at an Iowa win either because Iowa is clearly better.

I watch a ton of Big 12 and can't name anyone on WVU and K-State lol. Just sayin.
