The overall depth we have on this team is much better. We beat Texas last year, so the team knows they can beat the name on the jersey. I think the main adversity we will face is the short week vs them having a bye. Campbell kind of left that as an out in his post game when talking about Texas. Texas shows up for big games, so this is going to be a battle. There is nothing I want more than to put the final nail in the coffin for Herman. I hope we somehow route them like we did KSU, but I know it won't happen.

I don't know about this. Our team got a lot of rest in the second half on Saturday. May be the best warm up for Texas possible. Confidence is high, Breece is rested, let's go take care of business.

Texas being idle for two straight weeks is absolutely a huge advantage for the good guys, especially after absolutely piss stomping purple Kansas with minimal effort. We are going to roll into Austin with some serious swagger and confidence. These guys aren't going to see Texas on the front of their jerseys and crap themselves.

Scheme wise Texas is going to play a ton of man coverage and load the box. If Hall gets to the second level he will rip off some huge runs.

I think this is a game where Manning craps himself again. I think Texas makes us one dimensional and Manning won't have an answer for it. Plus, whenever ISU has knocked on the door, it hasn't turned out well. That is our history. I have been a fan for 52 years, until I actually see us break through, I won't believe we can do it.
Do you think Texas takes away the run or the pass?

I will also say that right now, I like the confidence our WR's are playing with. We spread the ball out Saturday the best we ever have all year. I also loved what we did with Purdy. He probably had 6-7 roll outs where he took off on two of them and had big gains.

We won’t have to hear that stupid commercial over and over and over. I don’t remember the song but it was set in a bar.

I think the combination of Breece’s breakout and more confidence in Dekkers behind Brock has (hopefully) gotten coaches more open to playing to that running nightmare Brock can give teams.

I flew down from Chicago to Austin for that game in 2018 And it completely sucked since we were dominated at Texas Memorial. The place was packed with 100k Texas fans all looking for blood. The crowd wanted Texas to win because they were tying to gain relevance in the conference again and little ol’ Iowa State happened to be in the way.

It felt like we were playing against a professional team. Its as intimidating a stadium environment I’ve ever been in.

But this year is different.

That 100K shrinks to 15K because of Covid restrictions, and that is HUGE. It negates the home field advantage they had in 2018. Not to mention we have a more mature QB, Breece Hall and better Oline play (as many have mentioned before).

I EXPECT TO WIN THIS GAME!

The line play has been the best part of this year. We have two starters out but we are still holding our own. Getting Ramos healthy adds depth and allows us to give a little more rest to the guys off and on.

Do we know for sure that only 15K will be in there? Our game against okie st seemed like there were 30k in there

Love that this game is at 11 AM! ISU just needs to play loose and have some fun out there, honestly.

If ISU plays clean, I really like our odds. We're a bad match up for them if anything. We have such a mix of the run and pass game. O needs to keep things humming and get on the board right away.

The D knows what's coming, a scrambling QB. Our LB corp needs to have a hell of a game making SE's game tough.

No points allowed from Special Teams gaffes. Kick the ball out of bounds and punt the ball out of bounds.

The team is going to enjoy the moment, and play confident.
