Sagarin says we've played a MUCH tougher schedule than the Charmin soft schedule you've been able to play.
Whoa! And have the same loss total too. No wonder Sagarin has the Hawks at #6.
Iowa's lost to Northwestern and Purdue, who haven't played anyone. Iowa's beaten Michigan State and Minnesota, who are a combined 2-6. Michigan State and Minnesota's wins are against teams that are combined 2-6.

I'd give the Ferentz's an extension.
I mean that's not even in question. Iowa got 2 votes to be in the AP poll this week and we're at 17 with 498 votes.
Iowa's also behind two Sun Belt teams their fans make fun of. Northwestern is behind 1 Sun Belt team Iowa fans make fun of. Purdue is behind both Sun Belt teams Iowa fans make fun of.
It's a shame we weren't able to play this year. Would've been another great game imo.
I'm not ready to concede that they're better than us yet. I need to see Iowa state beat someone with a pulse outside the conference. When was the last time Iowa state beat a power 5 team outside the big 12? I'll give Campbell credit for making the cyclones a physical big12 team but that advantage gets neutralized as we've seen outside the league where teams tend to be more physical

Maybe now it would be. It would be a brawl because both defenses are pretty good and both offenses have really good rushing attacks but Iowa State is a lot better offensively because Purdy is actually a good QB, but Iowa has far superior Special teams. I could se wit go either way.
