All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Speaking of this, I'm going to say it again: HOW THE EFF IS INDIANA RANKED IN THE TOP 10!?

Nothing is more annoying than the massive over hype that the big 10 and INDIANA of all teams is getting. The combined record of the teams that Indiana has beaten is 3-13. Just absolute trash. Yet, somehow, they are above Okie State who has a top 25 win and combined opponent record of 23-18. Am I crazy for thinking they are intently trying to prop up Indiana so it looks better when tOSU pounds them this weekend and they can say they have a "top 10 win"?
That’s exactly what is happening.

Indiana is in the top-10 because they beat #9 Penn State who's now 0-4, and #23 Michigan who is now 1-3. We'll find out how good Indiana is this Saturday when they play tOSU. The Hoosiers probably have the toughest remaining schedule out of anyone in the Big 10.

@ tOSU (3-0)
vs. Maryland (2-1)
@ Wisconsin (2-0)
vs. Purdue (2-1)
I understand on the surface after game one you would go "wow that was a good win by Indiana". But now that Penn State is 0-4, you can't sit there and try to claim it has the same weight as week one. That was NOT a good win. It was them beating a trash team. The same goes for Michigan. I personally didn't think Michigan deserved to be ranked when they played Indiana, but Im assuming they kept them in there because, well it's michigan. They do the same thing with texas. Michigan is just plain BAADDD. Those wins don't hold weight anymore. Things have to be tempered as the weeks move on and unfortunately there is no valid argument you could make that would lead me to believe Indiana is a top 10 team let alone should be ranked over Okie State

Didnt Northwestern lose 8 conference games last year and break historically bad offensive records?

Yep. NW and Purdue aren't good football teams. The B1G is Wisconsin and Ohio State and a whole bunch of bad. Indiana is going to get absolutely boat raced on Saturday but the Buckies.

Oh I'm in full agreement with you. I think Indiana should realistically be ranked somewhere in the lower teens. We'll find out just how good Indiana is in these upcoming weeks.

It's easier just calling Indiana a top ten team than admitting that Penn State and Mich State are freakin terrible. All of the B1G fans crapping on the Big 12 earlier this season sure have quieted down...

Hard to know what the Big 10 is without an OOC season. We already know what the Big 12 is this year after the Sun Belt took them down in week 1.

I'm sorry, I was told that the B1G was going to be error free week 1.

I would be grasping for straws too if Iowa were an Iowa/B1G fan...

Any rational college football fan can understand who's good and who's bad in the Big 10.

Tier 1 - Ohio State
Tier 2 - Indiana & Wisconsin
Tier 3 - Northwestern & Purdue
Tier 4 - Iowa & Maryland
Tier 5 - Nebraska, Minnesota, Rutgers, Michigan State, Michigan, Penn State, Illinois

Jesus, where do you want me to start?

The Big 12 had a really embarrassing start to the season. The Big 10 is only playing in conference games so you really can't gauge the conference at all. They could be good, average or bad, but we don't really have anyway of correctly saying one or the other.

LMAO based off of what you see out of every team not named Wisconsin or Ohio State, I would think B1G fans would be grateful there wasn't an OOC game.
