All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Your last posts were defending Iowa's LB group was going to be good so maybe the mods did you a favor

A+, but I don't think I ever said that. Defense or LBs haven't been the problem so far. TO's and penalties did us in against Purdue and QB play and playcalling did us in against NW.

I said on paper this looks like a bad defense and you didn't like that. I was right. You've played two terrible offenses

Didn't you guys give up like 150 rushing yards to a walk on fullback vs Purdue? That's not even counting what that WR did to you

Gave up 24 points. Two offensive fumbles and 11 penalties mostly from the offense, is what lost the game. Iowa needed to score over 30 against Purdue and came up short. Either Petras really improves or Iowa needs to find another QB quickly.

I agree your defense has played respectably. Although two games versus PU and NU haven't really tested them yet. But I also agree that the offense is the culprit in your losses so far. Like most ISU fans I'm sure, we hope to face the Petras we have seen so far for two more years. But as you say, he could ( and should) get better since he is so new yet as a starter.

Yeah Goodson and Sargent seem to fumble at the worst times.

Ferentz isn't going to bench Petras he's never benched a QB mid season
