Is the SEC team defensive optional too? @Legend Hawk

Apple and Oranges. The SEC is full of good football teams, the Big12 is MAC level football.

What do you think of your boy saying the Big12 is much, much weaker than the ACC Atlantic and the Pac12 South. YIKES! He says the Big12 is closer to the Sun Belt East/MWC Mountain than it is to the Pac12 South. Double YIKES!

You didn't answer my question.

Is the SEC defensive optional?

Can't make the determination in a COVID year. Having a bad defensive week or even year is a far cry from a decade plus of defense optional Big12 play.
So if the Big Ten actually looks like a league that can score this year they'll still be offensive optional because of Covid? Got it

I'm sure scoring will be up in the Big10 as well, but COVID has made lots of things crazy this year. The Big12 seems pretty normal though, terrible on defense and terrible at football according to Sagarin.

I forgot to ask, did any of those multitude of schools make up ground with Carnie?

I told you he would keep getting offers and he did. He got the one he wanted in Nebraska and it was over at that point. Oh and Nebraska made up a lot of ground with that offer.

I'm sure you'd love to believe that. Will that be your excuse if Iowa goes 6-4?

Oh, I don't know, maybe I will come over here and look for popular excuses. Lets say maybe it was other teams Super Bowl, or maybe it was because our first game was canceled, or maybe it was because of a phantom holding call, or how about because the league wanted Texas to beat us and the fix was in?

Are those good "excuses"?

They didn't at the time. I'm surprised they offered but looks like Iowa caught a break there

Just curious if ISU's Big12 wins are legit in your mind right now, as they are playing in what Sagarin considers the weakest P5 conference in all of college football. I mean over the last many years that has been a big deal for you, I mean Sagarin says the Big12 is basically the Sun Belt East.

Iowa State has played a brutal schedule this year. Only one team they've played isn't currently ranked or receiving votes and that was Texas Tech who we beat down
