Bauer pitched last night to be prepared for 1st game of a playoff 3 game series. So we will not face him.
Cleveland comes back from a 4-1 7th inning deficit to win giving the Twins control of their own destiny. Unfortunately the Indian's hot streak has dropped the Yankees back to the 6 seed.
Too bad The Hawk is not calling games anymore, he could tell his White Sox to "grab some bench."

I don’t think so. Houston is a lock for the 6. The 6th seed belongs to the worst of the second place division teams. Cleveland and Chicago will be jockeying between the 7th and 4th seeds assuming we take care of business against Cincinnati. The playoffs this year are really funky.
Also, I think it makes some sense to cheer like hell for Cleveland to pass Chicago. I want no part of getting Cleveland in a best of 3 series with that pitching staff and how hot they are. And that’s more of a possibility than you might think if we win the division and then likely pass Oakland.

Agreed. And the two potential teams in the second round set up nicely as well. Much rather have the As or Sox than Cleveland, Tampa or the damn Yankees.
Does it count as a playoff series win if we beat Houston? Or is this like the First 4 in the NCAA Tournament?
