My favorite Thanksgiving ever was freshman year when I went to my roomate's place in the Keys. T'giving dinner consisted of Mahi, grouper, lobster, and shrimp that we had caught earlier that day...

If that were my thanksgiving, I would never leave. I keep telling my wife that one of these holidays we should spend it on a beach somewhere.
Oysters? In stuffing? You go have fun with that.
One fun thing I'll get to eat this year is Crow Pie. Thanks to the Cubs' and Cyclones' performances this year, I'll be sure to get some heaping helpings of Crow Pie. Mmmm...tastes like ashes.
I've always enjoyed a traditional Thanksgiving dinner of toast, popcorn, and pretzel sticks. :yes:
My wife's maternal grandparents immigrated to the U.S. from Italy. There's nothing better than the traditional Turkey, potatoes, gravy, etc - with a large helping of hand made beef ravioli's in made from scratch marinara.

my mother always used to make a spinach quiche that was basically spinach, cream cheese, and egg mixed together in a pie crust. Then she'd put shredded cheddar cheese on top, and bake it. Very, very good. It has been a traditional Thanksgiving dish at my house as long as I can remember.
I'm a sucker for stuffing.
And cranberry sauce topped with cottage cheese, although most people think I'm crazy.

My mom's rice and sausage stuffing smothered in turkey gravy - that's great stuff. I also like my dad's mashed turnips.
Same with my mom's parent (actually my grandfather was born in Argentina after his parents moved there from Italy).
My grandmother never did ravioli that I can remember, but her New Year's Day traditional lasagna was to die for, that and her home made pasta with fish-tomato sauce (the Christmas Eve staple)
You are from NW Iowa and haven't heard of oyster stuffing?
I won't eat it, but we've had it at my parents/grandparents house at Thanksgiving forever!
I can probably guarantee that everyone I know around here has never heard of it. Its no surprise though, some folks in Wisconsin thought I was crazy when I talked about Beer cheese soup.
