Tough day for EIU hoops hopes

Everyday Garza hasn't declared he's coming back I think is worse for the Hawks. With the uncertainty, I think he stays in. Worst case he goes over seas and makes a butt load of money. Crazy to think the Hawks best player in what, 2 decades?, may not even be drafted by the NBA. Comical.

He has already said he is announcing whether he is coming back or not on August 2nd, why would it be worse each day that he says he isn't coming back?

I wouldn't be surprised if the NCAA pushes the deadline back with the talk of an NBA combine being held.

What about Jess Settles?

Sorry I misread, I thought you said player that played over two decades

Kind of a sidebar but I love Jess's insight on 1460 during the basketball season. He doesn't come off with some sort of animosity or anything towards ISU and really talks highly of Hilton, the fan base, etc.

I like him too. Makes Jake sound like a doofus

Zach McCabe would like a word.
I put that with a question mark because I literally couldn't tell you a single Hawkeye basketball player who is worth a damn and made the NBA. The last three-four years is the closest I have ever followed them

Reggie Evans, drafted in 2002.

Yeah that's not going to help Luka's decision.
Luka has no business training in Iowa city. If he is serious he should be training with other nba combine like players. Fran knows nothing about prepping players for combine and draft.

James has been in heavy contact with Texas A&M, Marquette, Georgia, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Butler, Mizzou, and Illinois lately. Hopefully Iowa can get a commitment before he blows up. Kid averaged 15 and 11 with 9 blocks per game last season. Just insane production.

He blew up...and is going to Iona
