Lol one of the comments on that tweet was someone praising him for coming out against these allegations because "no other iowa media member was doing so". Good lord.

And yeah I don't think Halstead would be trying to dismiss these allegations if they were being thrown at Iowa State. The U of I already tried to scrub the DJK story but knew they weren't going to be able to do so with this Wadley one given how quickly it got picked up by the national media.

Chris White was a former staff member at that point. A guy that was let go by KF.

You come off like an expert as to what is going on here and don't even have a clue of who these people are and what role they played.

I'm not trying to discredit him. He did that to himself when he scammed/stole money from fans. That's not a race issue, that's a character issue.

My favorite part about the thread over there is the fact that they have sources knowledgeable of Wadley's claims that dispute them as "not the full story or exaggerated". Obviously, they're being fed from people within the football program that are trying to save their careers and their word should be taken with caution. They aren't reporting it that way, however. This is what happens when you hire cheerleaders to do your reporting.

Really? These athletes are offered tons of career opportunities after college. Guess who offers them those opportunities? I do not know what Wadley's career goals are but it's safe to say he won't be selling insurance in Iowa anytime soon.

Why are you so insistent on dismissing the fact that he scammed/stole money from fans? You want to ignore that and prop him up as a beacon of truth.

I mean I literally owned up for reading it out of context and fixed it lol. I'm in no way an expert on this. Also, there's a sh** ton of information in this ordeal so give me a break. I can't keep up with every allegation, text message, etc that keeps popping up every week.

Pretty much every city has some HUD housing. But, student athletes on scholarship are allotted money for room and board. They shouldn't be getting discounted rent and pocketing the rest...and schools shouldn't be using that as a recruiting tactic. Iowa was not the only one doing it either. This is something that the NCAA should have stepped in on (and maybe they did, I don't know).

The part you are missing is that the complex isn't entirely HUD housing. The rent there for unsubsidized housing was rather cheap by IC standards. Brian could have very well been living there paying full rent. I don't know.

Imagine trying to prove something and taking out an ENTIRE LINE OF TEXT. Lol that was an assistant coach of some sort or at least someone connected to the program. Most likely talking to them about tickets or something.. Also, no time stamp, nothing. I can make that exact same photo on my own phone if I wanted to.

So because I said it was his high school coach, but it was actually an Iowa coach, it disproves my overall message? Again, you're doing exactly what we all said you do, deflect the question and don't even answer it, and cling onto the smallest thing possible.
