Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

Thanks. That clears it up then. Kirk lied to the reporters during his June 12th presser. Makes me believe he doesn’t know how to handle the mess he has if he blatantly lies like that. Must be bigger than we even understand.
Way to take something out of context and run with it. From June 12th:

Ferentz said he hasn’t been reading the specific issues that former players have raised on social media. Nor has he been reading many news accounts of the concern surrounding his program. He’s relying solely on his conversations.

“Quite frankly, I haven’t paid much attention to accusations. I really haven’t,” Ferentz said. “People that I’ve got a lot of respect for, when they have concerns, and when they try to tell me that there are things that I can do better, that’s important and powerful.”

He's making the point that he hasn't ready specific accusations on social media or in the news but he's been having conversations with individuals regarding their experiences. Same thing he said on June 5th.

Gotta ask... Why did Brian need to live in affordable housing after just spending 4 years as a coach with the Patriots and was going to paid a starting salary of $202,000?

What is one of the most common accusations amongst them. That players were afraid to talk to Kirk. So now he is listening to those that he had respect for. The black players said they were afraid of him, so who is he listening to?

It starts with the current players but it goes beyond that. No one knows specifically who he has spoken to but guys like Hankins and Merriweather seem content with the changes that have been made thus far:

He was asked that specifically in the presser and he said he hadn't paid attention to it. That one website has his exact quote, Iowa needs equality I think is the website. I will check right now.

Its americaneedsequality. Here is what they have posted from his presser.

6/12/2020 - KIRK FERENTZ, HEAD COACH
Reporter: "Did you apologize to your former players?"

Ferentz: "I don't know that I apologized and I think they know how I feel"... "I haven't really paid attention to the accusations"

So, you bring up good questions. It really appears that using the logical questions you presented and seeing what KF said at his presser; KF really appears to be lying. Why did he suspend Doyle and then fire him? Why did he make that player committee if he had no idea what the accusations were? Why and what was he asking players about when he was talking to them if he hadn't paid attention to the accusations. I think you may finally be coming to the logical conclusions that the majority of non-Iowa diehards have.

That website is something.

Conveniently, it left off the full answer from KF. The accusations comment wasn't even a response to the question about apologizing to former players.

That certainly makes more sense.. Were other Iowa football players living there?
Yes- Brian moved there to live with teammates/friends. There were athletes and regular students living there because they could qualify for discounted rent. I posted a link earlier to where it was happening in other college towns as well. I know Nebraska and Virginia Tech were mentioned specifically.

Kirk let him play while using cocaine? Yikes!

He was busted before the bowl game and didn't play. Quit trolling, you know that. You've gone from "when did DJK test positive for cocaine?" to "Kirk let him play while using cocaine?". I proved my point and you were wrong.

Ah. I was running off the wrong assumption. I honestly don't see an issue with that if he was living with his teammates / friends.

It's not a great idea to be living in affordable housing while in college and your dad is making 2-3 mil per year and is technically a state employee.

He was with the team when he tested positive for cocaine. You think he just used it right when he got busted or something? Did a quick line while he was getting arrested? Lol

Not illegal, but not a good look when your father is the highest paid employee in the state. Not everyone that lives in that complex qualifies for low income housing. I think 30% is reserved for low income and 70% is just normal rentals.

I also agree with that as well. I understand if Brian wanted to live with his friends but you're right, it's not a good look. Kirk should've done what all the other coaches do for their kids when they're on the team.. Just rent a dope apartment for him and his friends to live in.
