Iowa Football Recruiting

This post indicates that your staff wanted him...

You even posted that CMC NEEDS to keep him in the boarders.
That took me to a post by Cytwins saying the competition will be stiff. Not sure how that indicates even in the slightest that the staff wanted him.

Again, how does me, a fan, saying that CMC needing to keep him within the boarders related to that the staff wanted him or offered him?

I like Bruce but Iowa doesn’t have a long track record of getting the ball to their playmakers in space. Which is Bruce’s strength currently.
That’s true but they seem to have been getting better with that. If you go back and look at some of the games this year you can see BF calling plays to get Tracy, ISM, and Goodson space to use their shiftiness. Games like Northwestern, Wisconsin, Minnesota, and USC show this effort.

What would you rate his potential using NCAA Football 2014 ratings?

Bruce would probably start with a rating of 68, and after scouting would bump up to a 71 coming into college. Give him a redshirt year, assume an average of around a 3-4 point increase each year with training, that would put him anywhere from an 86-91 by his senior season. My money would have him as probably an 89 as a senior.

The question to @CyTwins was if he like Iowa State's chances. @CyTwins is a self proclaimed insider. So that was his chance to say, "we're not interested". BTW - How wrong could he have possibly been on that one, right?

Part 2 doesn't. Just funny to me that they NEEDED to keep him in the borders. More of a jab.

What would your top 10 from the combined classes be?

1. Davidkov -- No competition for the top slot. Looks amazing.
2/3. Freyler/Dejean -- Both equally exciting S prospects in their own ways.
4. Keegan Johnson -- With the idea that he could end up as DB, where he looks elite.
5. Labas -- Admittedly I don't know A from B, but his film looks really good to me.
6. Silas -- Intellectually he's too small etc, but his film is super-exciting.
7. Liddle -- State champ wrestler. Rock.
8. Colby -- Probably too low because he looks good, but Davidkov looks like an animal.
9. Stephens -- Strong and powerful. Maybe better on the inside of the line.
10. Brown -- I'm a sucker for the former QBs. Skills plus body.

Iowa's offense was 99th in the country last year

Having the top returning TE doesn't necessarily translate to having literally the best TE room in the country. Does that mean Iowa has literally the best kicking room in the nation?

As for best tight end room in the nation I have no idea, and I'm not going to research all the tight end rooms in the nation to try and figure it out. I am sure that Utah, Wisconsin, Penn State, Georgia, Alabama, and others would probably argue that they're tight end room is better. There is literally no way to prove who has the best tight end room in the nation.

I'll help you answer that question

Why? We don't play in the Big Ten West. Getting to 10 wins with one of the toughest schedules in the country is hard
What I would expect with the best tight ends in the country, elite qb, stud rb, best wr’s in the state, top defense in the conference (tallest little person).
Autowins: UNLV, South Dakota, Iowa, West Virginia, Texas Tech, Kansas, Kansas State, Baylor, TCU

Should win: Texas, Oklahoma State

Toss up: Oklahoma
