Iowa Football Recruiting

Nah I actually didn't. I knew Brodie was a WR and thought the other two you mentioned were WR as well, but when I looked at the recruiting class they were listed as ATH, so I just wanted to make sure.

Yeah those kids should end up being good.
For a damn second I was thinking intramural champ...

LOL, of course the last 3 people to use "ignorance is bliss" in the instate forum:
Brodie, 5 Card Straight, HawkeyeMashup. That's too good.

Thanks for making my point. You can't blame an entire group of people based on the actions of a few. No, I do not think the entire ISU campus is racist because of a few bad egg; nor should anyone automatically assume the entire coaching staff at Iowa is racist because of Doyle.
when the actions of the "few" are literally the son of the coach, and the weight coach that has been there for as long as KF.... you can't sit back and say Kirk didn't know anything there.. and what was done about it before??

Problem is Sally Mason is the one who made that decision. I don't like Barta, but he was carrying out orders when he fired Griesbaum.
so it really does roll from the top at Iowa then?

And you think that's the case here? You think the opinions of people outside the program should outweigh the opinions of the people who the coaches' behavior directly impacted and who have been brought together to lead the effort of determining how things should move ahead?

That's a rhetorical question. I know that whomever recommends that KF be fired is the one you're going to think should have the most say.

I would be okay with whatever an independent investigation recommends. However Kirk kind of opens himself to that type of criticism by overseeing a program that had a racist culture for 20 years.

I have a question for clone fans. Who is your favorite recruit in your class right now? The one that I think will end being a stud is the DT. Brown is name right?

So if the former players and current players who've been in the meetings, on the calls, and involved with getting to the bottom of things and helping to find ways to move the program ahead come out and say that KF understands the mistakes that were made, is committed to change and is the best person to continue leading the program, you still think he should be fired?

Gonzo, the players are not determining whether Kirk keeps his job or not. The independent investigation wouldn't be happening if that were the case.

You don't think the independent investigation is going to weigh heavily the input it gets from players on whether KF should stay?

If the investigation finds damning evidence that Kirk lied about not knowing about anything, and also finds he dismissed players accusations when coming to him, no. If it's wishy washy, then yeah. They're not going to go through all of this to just yield to the players at the end of it all. Why even have the investigation in the first place then?

If the investigation finds overwhelmingly damning evidence that KF lied about not knowing anything and dismissing accusations, it's going to come from the players and former players, whom I doubt would then support KF staying on.

Having a great TE core for one year doesn't make us Tight End U. Lol
It is a bit of a joke but the fact we are receiving national attention over Iowa at a position they are known for... and Campbell's remarks that we haven't even seen the best of the group yet with Easton Dean... will see what other talent Campbell will/can bring in at TE...
