Honest question, what genre of law will be used in this specific case? Also, like most of us have said, if the person that does the investigation is not from the University of Iowa, no one will care!

I don’t know the answer to that for sure, but Husch Blackwell appears to have a “Higher Education” practice that conducts investigations and legal-compliance audits at universities. There are no Iowa alumni (Law School or undergrad) in that department.

More evidence. The law firm should easily be able to paint him bad.
Yeah those incidents shown are behaviors he had while in the public view. Just imagine what he's like behind closed doors. You'd have to be insane to think that he was a cool calm and collected individual. A lot of these players' accusations help refute that.

Well then Iowa has nothing to worry about from a conflict of interest standpoint if they are going with that department. I think you could very well agree that if Iowa would choose an alumni of theirs to conduct this investigation it'd look pretty fishy right?

The Vault rankings are hands down the most frequently used/cited rankings for measuring the prestige of law firms. Whether Husch Blackwell is 8th or 12th doesn’t really matter - either way, it is one of the best law firms in the Midwest, which was my original point.

Geez my man, what aren't you an expert in?

Why wouldn't they go with a top 5 or even top 7 law firm? Why go with a worse one that has a conflict of internet?

did not know that. May see more teams do the same.

I'd imagine if the players went to Campbell and said they'd like to rearrange the pregame so they could be on the field for it he'd at least hear them out.

Absolutely it would look fishy. But simply hiring a firm with attorneys that went to Iowa is a legit nothingburger. Any big firm in the Midwest is going to have multiple attorneys that graduated from Iowa.

Look, people (including me) are just making something out of nothing at this point. It was just funny all things considered. No one will have a problem with anything if those investigating are not Iowa alumni. I would say Iowa's not stupid enough to do something like that but it wouldn't exactly be the worst ethical move they've made in the last 10 years or so.

I would give a nut to have video of brian throwing a tantrum up in the booth at jack trice. We have more than enough proof he is unfit mentally to be coaching.

There probably isnt one of him at ISU doing this as a coach.

Iowa hasnt lost in Ames since BF has been on the Iowa staff.

Agree with this. He may have said things but got told to shut the hell up or get fired. Which granted, that would be a moral issue for him internally, but i'm sure he also wanted the opportunity to advance his career. Could have been but inbetween a hard place and a rock
perfect. now they have someone that will just comply...you are defending tough position

Brian threw a tantrum in the press box and was called out for it against Minnesota in 2017. They beat Minnesota that year.

Much more frustrating game for Iowa that night.

With BF calling plays, Iowa has averaged over 31 points per game in games played in Ames.

Brian didn't get "reprimanded" by his dad because the offense was doing poorly against Minnesota. Iowa had a fumble call that didn't go their way and Brian used very poor language directed towards the officials in the booth while Brian was in the hallway.
