What they found was that the actions taken by the U of I, both in meeting with the victim and having the players move back into the crime scene hindered the case. They did not have evidence that these actions were taken with intent of covering up the crime. So we are left to draw our conclusions that the actions were really intended to help the victim (meeting with her to spell out her options) or for reasons unrelated to the alleged crime (having players move back into the room). I guess I fall on the side of the BHGP staff and Occam's Razor. Feel free to believe that KF and Barta are just these hapless Keystone Cops and despite every effort to do the right thing they just keep making horrible blunders that happen to get in the way of the investigation.
 
Apparently it was not an easy decision to separate from Chris Doyle.

Maybe that's a talking point copied over from another firing, because ditching Doyle is a no-brainer.
