Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

I actually think it is very believable that Barta retires tomorrow. If you are already having health issues and facing a second major lawsuit in 3 years, it just makes too much sense to not step away now.

These last couple pages are going to look pretty pathetic when you guys realize why Barta has been absent. Not sure if it will be announced at the press conference tomorrow, but I’m sure it will come out sometime soon.
P1-poor Gary has been getting treatment for dangle cancer. Won’t believe for a single second.
P2-he has been reconnecting with His long lost black Children.

Sorry if it's already been said, but putting the people who built the culture over 20 years in charge of fixing it is just disgusting and completely disrespectful to the victims.

C'mon.... That's going way over the line. Barta is a terrible AD, but he is a human being.

Not surprising what side of this the walk on podcast guys are on. Those 3 are some grade A d bags
Probably another huge coincidence that they were on the 2017 leadership council that out of 18 total guys, only 3 African Americans were on it.

I mean, if it's health related it is probably safe to assume that this entire situation sent his health spiraling down hill. Barta might be the worst AD in the history of U of I athletics and having to deal with a real situation instead of make up false lies about ISU and potentially fire his "golden boy" has probably just put an unbelievable amount of stress on him. I hope he gets well soon

Excuse me? They know what it looks like firsthand. There's no one in this country other than the Ferentz's and Doyle that I would rather have fixing their own institutioning racism.

irregardless of the situation in Iowa City that is a real d'bag post

Well that response by Iowa is something

I mean, KF had some talks with the guys, had a press conference to exploit them, and says he's working on things. Surely that's good enough.

Just when you thought Iowa’s PR department couldn’t be that bad, they double down with a statement like this. Yikes.

Whether it’s true or not, it comes off as tone deaf and does not bode well for an investigation.

Oh it's been said.. The illogical thought process behind it is ridiculous. Those arguing for Kirk and his staff to fix this say so because Kirk's a good man, which doesn't make sense because if he was a good man he wouldn't have been running his program like this for 20 years.

The vast majority of Iowa fans and Iowa media members believe Kirk should be given a chance, whereas from the outside looking in, it's the other way around. The blind loyalty is glaring and proves that some people care more about winning than the gross culture that was allowed within those walls.

In other words, Coach Ferentz doesn't care if you experienced racism in his program. Good luck with everything else...
"We'll only listen to those who were oppressed if and only if they talk to the oppressor, and no you will not be receiving an apology from the oppressor."
