Infinitely more civil than what I had typed out prior to deleting as I was going to light this puke up.
Keep the keyboard warmed up.
This waste of organic matter won't respond to my question.
Another cowardly fan.

Catching up on podcasts and came across the Right Time with Bomani Jones from Tuesday. He absolutely destroys Kirk from the DJK statement. At very minimum, this coverage is going to make recruiting difficult.
The players Brodie continues to cited to discredit DJK. Are any of those statements current or are they dated?
if Iowa had true racists on staff they would not hire or recruit black guys, and there would be calls from former players for kirks head right now
Well said. But it does say something - for him and many others - that he was more angry about Carson King being slighted than by this U of I story, which is orders of magnitude larger.
Or we can ban him or quit @ him. He doesn't add value.I feel like Brodie should just come out and say he doesn't trust any black people so we can go on with our days.
The Des Moines Register had one article this morning and all it said was recruiting is not being negatively impact at all by this. The recruits are all still bought in and love KF.
Yes, Iowa media are totally nutless when it comes to Iowa. As others mentioned, Bandgate and the Pemsl stories, short of the initial coverage of bandgate national media didn't give a crap about either of these, because quite frankly they turned out to not be much. Yet, local media pounded these into the ground.
In this case national media is on it, and the local media is framing this as "Doyle's probably gone, he might have had a chance but that statement he released says he's not going to change."
Nationally there is not even a thought about Doyle returning - they just assume he's gone, because they have some common sense and aren't blinded by the closeness of the situation. Most of the national media think Ferentz should clearly be gone. They are starting to dredge up the made-up award after Rhabdo.
We need the national media to do what these local losers won't do, which is do a little bit of journalism on the sexual assault case. Their meeting with the victim, KF having two players move into the crime scene (and what they shared they found at the scene), letting one of the alleged perpetrators move onto the same floor as the victim.
Despite all this, the common theme has been that KF has "built up enough good will" to have his seat be warm.
wait- you don’t see a difference between racism and racial insensitivity? That’s absurd in my opinion. One can be corrected, one can’t.

in terms of overplaying an a issue- you are seeing in this thread right now. Now, I was expecting it due to the nature of the rivalry but I don’t think ANY program should be taking moral high ground right now. Many of these things occur all over. Glass houses and all. You have also seen a good number of iowa players bring up issues that are completely unrelated to race to ride the coattails of the situation. Iowa’s commits and players seem to back the program.
This is hardly unique to this situation though. It happens during any crisis.

You can be racist and know you need black players to win. What a dumb comment
This is probably the stupidest thing I have ever read in my life.
I guess all those slaveowners back in the day weren't racist either. If they were true racists, they never would have allowed black people to work for them.
I think there are both at play here. Giving out unequal punishments to black players is racist. Not allowing rap music in the weight room because you dont like rap music isn't necessarily racist, but it is probably pretty insensitive to your black athletes who may not hear any black artists during workouts, and they may not feel as welcome in your school.wait- you don’t see a difference between racism and racial insensitivity? That’s the most racist thing I’ve heard yet.

KXNO's Miller and Condon are taking a different tone today. Much more subdued. Questioning if Wadley is believable (why if he was so miserable does he want his younger brother to go to Iowa). Just said KF will probably stay and finish out the year. Ripping BF though.
