Kirk Ferentz getting sued for being racist

Well you disagree with 3 punishments he's handed out to black athletes because they were too excessive and disagree with 0 punishments he's handed out to white athletes. If that's not racism I'm not sure what is

That’s not true at all. So you think handing out 3 excessive punishments over the span of 20 years to black players, with zero evidence of animus, makes someone a racist?

3 that we know of, all to black athletes, and 0 to white athletes. Yes that's racism

He already admitted Ferentz is a racist. Now he's going with the "well he's not THAT racist" angle
Kirk Ferentz admitted he never once had a problem or heard of any problems regarding race within his teams. There are dozens of accounts that show he is wrong. So what does that tell you? Is he a racist? I'll defer to the accusations and let people make their own assumptions. Is he morally and ethically incompetent? Absofrickinlutely.

How do you know that?

Because I have heard these stories from sources who were on the team/staff at that time. DJK was told to hold the trash can and willingly chose to put it over his head to try and be funny. The idea that KF called in a raid on his house is some QAnon level conspiracy stuff. And KF and Doyle disliked him because he had a horrible attitude and constantly broke team rules.

The trash can story, KF calling in the raid on his house, KF and Doyle disliking him for no reason. All of those are for sure lies.

How many white athletes were forced to hold and carry around a trash can?

I think you're too caught up in specifics, whereas many of the concerns I've read is just of a general culture. More than anything, it just appears there was an overarching feeling that there was a preference towards white players, and rules that seemed geared against black players.

If you're asking me, it's a department that's too caught up in the "small town farm boy becomes NFL player" moniker. The love them some Scherff, Kittle, Gallery, Clark, Weisman, etc. It sounds like over time they expected everyone to be the football-obsessed, straight-and-arrow farm boy at the expense of individualism. So maybe not overtly racist, but an application that was racist in nature.

So specific examples of overt racism? Maybe not a ton. But sometimes "what's understood need not be explained."

I'm not surprised, Iowa has always treated website media members much different than the beat writers and reporters. Hell for the longest time they didn't even hold press credentials. It's always been about what can be controlled from the top over there.

How many white athletes ever had a verbal tirade at practice, then kicked over a garbage can full of trash when asked to stand on the sideline?

At this time, I would take anything that anyone on the staff says with a grain of salt. If Kirk was blackmailing players by saying he held their futures in their hands, then he likely did the same with some if not all of his assistants.

People call in tips to the police all day every day, what makes this seem like it's too far out of the picture especially when you in the next sentence state KF disliked him.

Delete, delete, delete, delete

I don’t even know what that means. DJK threw a fit at practice and was told to stand on the sidelines. He kicked over a garbage can full of trash, so the coaches made him hold it the rest of practice. He then decided to try and be a jokester and started walking around with it on his head. How in any world is the Iowa staff the party that comes out looking bad in this story?
