He basically just denied everything. It is so gross. And who is conducting the “internal investigation” - U of I staff who will just say, “we can’t find any video or audio of these totally private conversations, must not have happened?”
Internal investigations seem to always come out with the same answer don't they...

I’m somewhat shocked he wasn’t at this thing today. I mean he’s the AD for crying out loud. Maybe he was and I missed it? When GarBar started slinging mud at ISU over bandgate I think both Jamie and Dr. Wintersteen were at the pressers.
Maybe I am just jaded, maybe I have simply lost all faith in people doing the “right thing”, but ultimately, I just don’t see anything happening at U of I over any of this.
Maybe Doyle gets canned, but I think they will do everything they can to sweep this under the rug and pretend it never happened...

People are surprised Iowa is denying things? This is straight from their playbook. Deny until it blows over, change nothing about what you do, protect the brand, retaliate against media that dared to ask questions that weren't pre-approved by the AD.
I think Doyle’s joke of a “statement” followed almost immediately by KF saying it isn’t a thing + “internal investigation” = yet another situation where Iowa lets KF and his team get away with some pretty awful ****. He should never have been retained after the rape scandal, but here we are.
No school should allow this. None.
Doyle will be fired, probably still paid under the table, but KF and the rest will go on and on how all this isn't reflective of the great program and how his team represents historic Kinnick Stadium, etc.
That's why Doyle needs to fight back, or these players and their parents, or this will all get swept under the rug. It's disgusting.
These players can't fall for all this BS. They need to fight.
I fear Doyle will get several million to shut up, and he'll abide though. That's what Barta does in his position as AD at Iowa..... just writes checks to shut people up.
Wouldn't be surprised to see Rob Howe's access to the team get reduced if/when this blows over. Quite frankly I'm surprised he reported it as much as he did, especially being a writer on a Hawkeye fan site.
This... I was about to post how pissed I am about how the administration and fans are turning a blind eye - or worse - applauding Emperor Kirk. I guess I shouldn't be surprised - he has been building his culture over the last 20 years. He won't let a little thing like racism tear it down.
So Noah Fant tweeted about an hour ago that he's been just sitting back and observing and listening.... and that he's learned a lot!
Not sure what that means, but I've been curious as to if he would have anything to say on this at all? He was not a happy camper throughout much of his career at Iowa, and I often wondered why? I know in his final season KF wasn't playing him much at the end of the year at all, and Fant was pissed..... and so was most of the media.
*Fant may not have been referencing this thing going on at Iowa at all either. Not sure?

I'm not. He's the guy that never gave Jane Meyer a bad performance review but "reassigned" her because Kirk found her "difficult."
Many of them refuse to acknowledge anything is happening right now, so I'm not even a little bit surprised.
