New Uniforms Revealed

IIRC, we darkened our fire-truck red (had this roughly from '83 Criner, to 2007 ?) to our current shade of cardinal in 2008 with Chizik. I don't know if we went back to our old cardinal or not, but I thought that was a good move.

Why, at that same time in 2008, we did not also revert back to our historical '67-'82 gold I'll never know. Why should we have to keep something, pay for something that Criner and his cronies did (when he changed our gold) for so long?

Here is a photoshop pic officially released in 2008, regarding the uniform change at that time. I'm pretty sure that I would not be debating shades of gold or doing what I am now (to this extent) on uniforms, if we had just adopted this cardinal and gold. It's pretty close to perfect, but not what we got.

Try it with the numbers on the C uniform being white.

SOP for equipment staffs. They'll swap a lot with opponents, or if they have personal contacts at other schools.

Iirc a lot of the equipment staff have brought helmets from previous jobs and I think some are from trading with other equipment staffs at events and games.

I was very hesitant to put this combo together, but I said what the heck. I actually kind of like it. I have to say it is no worse than the present c/c/w we've been using.

I just wish we had gold as an option. Then we could do something like this and I would feel better about it.
