Iowa Football Recruiting

There is a picture and repected Iowa St. journalists say it exists.

 
Why is it that when a recruit chooses ISU over Iowa and has an offer from both, suddenly Iowa fans “never wanted him” and his offer “wasn’t committable” (which doesn’t even make sense). Iowa fans also said Breece Hall was a “hum-ho” commit around the time he committed. Around the time Hall committed, he was also ranked around the same as Noel is, with real similar offers. Not saying Noel will be as good as Hall was his freshman year, but he won’t even be on campus for another 12 months, I anticipate his ranking will rise and won’t be surprised when he’s ranked higher than some/all of Iowa’s 3 prized WR commits

I don't think Iowa fans do this with recruits that still have Iowa offers that ISU gets. For instance I don't think any Hawk fans would say Iowa didn't want Downing. If Brock would have declared for ISU 2 months early no Hawk fan would say he didn't have an offer. As it was he didn't have an Iowa offer any longer, as Goodson committed to the coaches before Brock could.

Noel had an Iowa offer, he is a good recruit. Iowa for whatever reason Iowa felt Brecht, Bruce, Johnson, and Bell were the WR they wanted to focus on. Maybe that is because they thought they were better, or maybe because they thought they had a better shot at those 4. All I know is Iowa stopped recruiting him and were only focused on those 4 WR.

thats...not how recruiting works. You don’t offer a kid then if he doesn’t commit on the spot, he no longer has an offer. So what if Bruce never committed and Bell doesn’t commit, would iowa have taken only 2 WR’s? Since apparently all the other WRs they offered no longer have a “committable” offer
