Iowa Football Recruiting

That's not how this works.

4/24 - Hok Wr Commits = 0
Jaylin Noel releases his top 2. Hok out of running.

4/28 - Hok Wr commits = 1
Arland Bruce Commits

5/1 - Hok Wr Commits = 2
Brody Brecht Commits

5/6 - Hok Wr Commits = 3
Keagen Johnson Commits

Yes, Brecht was the top target, but you can't tell me that Hok didn't want Noel WHEN THEY HAD 0 COMMITS!

Mic drop!!!

They didn't, they were only focusing on Brecht, Bruce, Johnson and Bell. I said as much at that very time. Why would I say that then if it wasn't true, Iowa could have missed on both Brecht and Bruce, they could have both committed to ISU. I mean it wasn't like I was saying it because Iowa had them locked up, as they certainly didn't. I said it because they were the only WR Iowa was recruiting, period.

I said the same about DE's as well. After Llewellyn Iowa was only after Pittman and Benny. I said that then, and then Iowa got Pittman. Not sure why you are even questioning me on Iowa recruiting, I've been spot on with every last thing I've posted over the last 1 - 1 1/2 months

Not even close, Iowa moved on more than a month before Noel cut his list so focus on Brecht, Bruce, Johnson and Bell. There was a clear line for Iowa, and those 4 were the top 4 and the only ones they were still recruiting.

Good get for ISU whether Iowa stopped recruiting him or he eliminated Iowa. To me it is similar to Twedt, ISU was no longer recruiting him and Iowa is glad to have him.

You said they only wanted two WRs at the time. You have no credibility on the subject. I understand you're upset about not getting Noel I was upset when we eliminated Llewellyn too

Iowa State landing a recruit with an Iowa offer is super rare, so I don’t blame Iowa State fans for celebrating FINALLY landing a recruit with an Iowa offer, even if he wasn’t a take for Iowa.

D-, YIKES. Recruiting is fluid for sure, everything was pointing to just taking two, but when Johnson wanted to commit as well, the coaches thought he was too good to pass up on so they took his commitment.

We know you were wrong and we know you're upset right now. It's a high school kid committing to a college. Lighten up

I am pretty happy ISU got him instead of Nebraska. If he is gonna be good and potentially help beat Iowa down the road I want it to be in a game that doesn't matter like a non conference game.

What would I be upset about? Nebraska lost yet another recruit they though was in the bag, that is always a good day!

Not sure why you're pretending you'd rather have for rival get a good recruit over a crappy Nebraska team but you seem pretty butthurt over the whole thing

My only concern is that because Iowa stopped recruiting him, he will have extra motivation for the Iowa game - which Iowa State already treats like its Super Bowl. You already have guys like Jirehl Brock who dreamed of playing for Iowa but never got that opportunity - don’t want to see too many guys like that give Iowa State even more motivation.

Wait Brock still had an offer to Iowa to play defense. I've been told that many times lol
