***Official 2019-2020 Transfer Thread***

Have seen varying speculation on injury handling and some of the off the court stuff that surrounded the team at GTown last year. His transfer statement was very calculated. He'll play next year.

Ya never know with the NCAA. We'll just have to wait and see. Hopefully he doesn't get one for the Big 12's sake lol.

McClung is obviously good but I don't see him as that great a fit for Tech. He's a chucker, at G'town I thought he tried way too hard to be the guy and forced things. Maybe he'll get back on track now that he's out of that dumpster fire and will be playing for a quality head coach.

I have a feeling Beard won't tolerate it if he comes in there chuckin'.

Play defense 100% and play within the offense or ride the pine.

TxT has enough talent on that roster to make that threat very credible.

Beard will get it figured out for sure, he sure wasn't afraid to sit Chris Clarke last year. I just saw McClung ending up somewhere he could be the man, maybe I misjudged him. He wasn't very impressive last year after G'town's roster fell apart and the focus was on him. Maybe that woke him up a bit and he'd rather just win.

He was really good the first half of the season, like I said, prior the roster falling apart. This also doesn't take in to account that w/o McClung also means without Akinjo, their best player. So essentially all the minutes w/o McClung are minutes without their two best players. Yurtseven also missed a handful of games, there were a lot of Jan games where Mac was a one man show and turned in to a high volume scorer. They also lost 2/3 other kids to transfer. To me, this stat is more about just how awful a roster down 5 or 6 guys was the last month of the season after his injury than him playing well.

McClung will immediately be Tech's best player next year. Great culture fit too. They'll be a tough team but really struggle to shoot the ball. Tech needs Kyler Edwards to bounce back in that department.

A McClung addition takes them from 17th to 13th preseason on Barttorvik fwiw.

I know McClung will get his points, but watching him over the years, he has never really been efficient. He's been a volume shooter on a below average-average team every year. No doubt he's explosive, and has the ability to go off, but ive never been blown away by his play at Georgetown.

Not surprised not seeing ISU, though that is a pretty impressive list.

@jeffborzello St. John's transfer L.J. Figueroa has heard from a number of schools, sources told ESPN, including:

Memphis
Texas Tech
Arkansas
Dayton
Ohio State
Oregon
Georgia Tech
Samford
UCLA
Auburn
Arguably the top available transfer. Averaged 14.5 points and 4.5 rebounds last season.

honestly surprised no Nebraska given Matt A recruited him to SJU

Highlights of Both Gach. Here is a guy that we take with hopes he could get a waiver, but also would be fine with him having to sit a year for development. I would honestly not be surprised to see this guy somewhere in the NBA someday. I'm not basing that off of his stats his first two years, but with the idea that he's going to have a big uptick in production wherever he ends up. Hopefully, it's with the good guys.

What was the story on him coming out of high school?

6’7” pg? Talk about length. He’d go well with Harris and Tre. A guard like him would be wise to go with Prohm.
