Iowa Football Recruiting

Iowa would rather lean on a small, slow RB like Goodson for ball control instead of try to score points with their dangerous offense
I think it has more to do with Iowa opens up their pass game with their run game. That's how their offense rolls. They were not comfortable with Stanley having to throw the ball a ton every game to win.

Man, coming back here after a long holiday weekend to find I'm 49 pages back and about 1000 posts behind. I truly hope some of you got out of the house this weekend and had a good time.

Did I miss anything good?

Prohm landed a stud grad transfer and Iowa fans lost their minds and started defending Frank Garza. Other than that you didn't miss much

Every team is going to run a scheme that the coaches believe is in the best interest of the team. If that means they're going to use ball control then so be it. If that means they're going to have an up tempo offense, great.

I'm guessing Iowa wished they had a better offense against Penn State and Michigan no different than I bet Iowa State had a better defense against Oklahoma and Baylor last year.

The best teams in the nation have adapted to more high tempo spread offenses and look at the success they've had. Clemson, LSU, OU, Ohio State, even Alabama. I'm not saying one way is better than the other but don't act like Iowa's offense is somehow morally better because they don't rack up yards and points every week and play a methodical style.

I never said they were "morally better", just stating KF philosophy for the past 20+ years.

I can understand why you wanna shift to BB talk after the beating you took on Sagarin this morning.

I mean yeah we kinda do. It wouldn't be pretty
They have played under 1 QB who didn't cracked the top-75 in pass percentage any year. They play in a highly conservative offense. I don't think we really know what they'd look like in an up-tempo offense with a great passing QB.

NFL QB who Iowa fans say is better than Brock Purdy

Like I said, JCL broke you

You mean that grad transfer that didn't even make ISU a bubble team? Pretty glad CSP got someone, we don't need another year like last year, he would for sure get fired and no Iowa fan wants that.

Basically were saying even though he's a professional con artist and convicted felon he's still a great person to be the face of Iowa Basketball
I honestly don't know why they'd want a player's father to be the face of their basketball program, but I'm sure Frank is eating that up lol.

Noted that you're happy Iowa State landed JCL
It's certainly interesting how an Iowa fan is happy we landed a good player and wants Iowa State to be better. Don't get me wrong, I would love Fran to be Iowa's coach for a long time but I certainly don't want the guy to land good players and succeed.
