Iowa Football Recruiting

It actually wasn't windows. It was that the temperature on the Iowa State sideline was around 130 degrees, while it was like 90 degrees on the Baylor sideline. We tried to put up tents, however Baylor complained and said we hadn't pre-approved them before the game and the Big 12 chimed in and said we had to take them down.

That's also not why we lost that game. We lost because our defense let Baylor's offense drive down the field and kick a last second field goal with a guy who hadn't made a field goal in his entire career. Lol
Ok. That makes sense.

Also disrespecting Jack Trice is a bannable offense IMO
You're already asking I get banned? Am I getting to you that much? I am sorry.....I thought it was recently changed to Mid American Energy Stadium. I should have said Mid American Energy Field at Jack Trice Stadium. My fault, won't happen again.

Exactly. Iowa is just built tough. They work to overcome what they can't control - i.e. bad calls and extreme heat.
There's a huge difference between playing football in Iowa and playing football in Texas.. For reference, the farthest south team in the entire Big 10 is Indiana. On average, the hottest game Iowa ever plays is either in Iowa City or Ames.

You're kidding right? You've obsessed over this loss for around 8 months now? It's not going away. move on to 2020.

Twins has made excuses for that loss well over 200 times I'd bet. I mean jeesh, let it go, ISU got beat by a better team, plain and simple.

No worse than the bogus grounding call against Stanley. But then he threaded an absolute needle to convert a long third down, into a first down. Hawks don't let bad calls take them out of their game.....they're just built that way.

Iowa did the same thing against Nebraska when the refs were trying everything they could do to get Nebraska bowl eligible. Iowa overcame all of those calls and still won the game.

I'm not affiliated with the team. You guys get so upset about the Super Bowl talk but it's been proven multiple times. Hell Kirk said beating Iowa State was bigger than beating Ohio State

Was that the game when Stanley we like 8-30 for 60 yards?

I would not want Iowa to make excuses for losing in Texas heat either.

How was the TD play to Milton lucky at all? And how was the trick play lucky? If those plays are lucky, then so was Iowa State running into each other the final play of the game lol.

And Iowa didn't dominate the game. They rarely made it into the red zone and settled for field goals the entire game. We just couldn't capitalize on our end either.

Neither team was dominant. One team had to win the game at the end of the day and we helped with that because our outside jammer decided it'd be a great time to lay out his teammate lol.

It wasn't lucky. And I wouldn't say Iowa dominated. But you guys did have the advantage of going against a defensive backfield of 2nd and 3rd teamers all game.

Yeah that was crazy the two calls the refs gave to Nebraska in that game. Yet Iowa overcomes two horrible calls to win the game. That is what good teams and clutch QB's do. I mean imagine if instead of redeeming himself after a horrible call, Stanley instead throws it right to a DB on 4th down ala Purdy. I suppose then we would be crying like crazy saying the refs cost us the game when in reality it would have been our QB that cost us the game.
