Yes, I think he’s a good coach (and so does everyone else who has ever worked with him, FWIW).
If you think Stanley sucked, Iowa’s receivers and tight ends aren’t any good, and Goodson is a small and slow RB, why would you have expected Iowa’s offense to be good?
Because you guys play in the Big Ten West and the reason those guys aren't very good is because Brian can't recruit. Think how much better you would be if you would have landed Hall, David Bell, a good QB, etc
Another day and clone fan cries about SOS. I still can’t quite understand why clone fans would rather finish 4th in the Big Ten West than tying for 3rd in the Big 12.
Think how much better isu would have been with:
Tristan Wirfs
James Daniels
Brandon Scherff
TJ Hockenson
Noah Fant
Josey Jewell
Michael Ojemudia
Desmond King
Josh Jackson
Bryan Bulaga
Amari Spivey
Micah Hyde
Amani Hooker
Etc.
But the question would be would any of those players turned out the way that did at Iowa had they gone to isu with inferior player development and coaching?
I thought it was pretty clear that I was sarcastically talking about how stupid your “scoreboard says otherwise” thing was.
Because you never said what "good" was described as for one. And as another poster showed you already, Goodsons numbers verse "bad" defenses should have been out of this world and they weren't. But then again, you hate facts and you hate answering questions

I will say there are other clone fans on this thread that have taken the same step you did. It appears for them when scoreboard is t bIn isu’s favor they immediately respond by saying the AP or some other poll is what counts. Then when the AP or some other poll is used to show isu looking up at Iowa that doesn’t count but scoreboard does if it is in isu’s favor. I am just trying to figure out if there is something clone fans will commit to as what does and doesn’t count or if we need to always pick and choose after the fact?
I don’t see one person on here who is saying Iowa wasn’t better the last 2 years. 2018 you could maybe make a very loose case for, but definitely nothing concrete.

His offense rating is worse than the defense ratings of B12 teams he makes fun of. LOL
It is too bad Iowa can win 10 games with such bad coaches while isu can only with 7 games with all their hall of famers.
I still agree. He is a great coach. He will have Iowa State playing at a high level for a very long time. It should be a fantastic rivalry for years to come.
Iowa for last 15 years win more games then they should cause they play 4 to 5 garbage ass teams in the Big 11/14
