The reason Iowa faced less was because Iowa was ranked #5 and isu wasn’t in the arbitrary top 30. Good thing isu found a way to scratch out 7 wins. The same number of wins they would have had with Iowa’s schedule.
Crazy that a fan base that has never had a double digit win season would even try to diminish the past three years of success for Iowa. It is extremely hard to do that for a team like Iowa or ISU.
Nah, ISU would’ve won more games than 7 if they had Iowa’s schedule. There’s no offense in the big ten, especially big ten west.
We were better than you in 2017. According to SP+ you were 20th last year and we were 24th. What a huge gap!
Give me a link that says isu would win more than 7 games with Iowa’s schedule. I can see why clone fans would rather tie for 3rd in the Big 12 than finish 4th in the Big Ten West. I already posted a link that says isu wouldn’t win more than 7 games with Iowa’s schedule. Of course you can tell me that Sagarin doesn’t count. That would utterly shatter the world of CyTwins. A fellow clone fan stating unequivocally that his beloved SOS doesn’t count.

Same link. Use Sagarin’s predictor score and compare Iowa to isu’s schedule. It’s real simple.

The "Schtick" is not stupid. What I am illustrating is YES, Goodson has some big runs which is a factor in how good a back is. BUT, when you are comparing YPC, you can't just take it at face value. How I, and I'd assume most, rate a running back is "How many yards can I expect each time he touches the ball" if his YPC decreases from 5 ypc to 2 ypc by taking out a big run, he goes from looking like Jerome Bettis to Chris Johnson.
Yes, you can bend stats to tell any story you want. Taking the longest play shows if he is reliable, or just a boom or bust guy. Btw, there are places for boom or bust guys, you just don't build an offense around them (DeAnthony Thomas).

Yeah I have, there’s a paywall though. It said ISU would have gone 11-2 with Iowa’s schedule and Iowa would have gone 6-7 with ISU’s schedule

There is no pay wall on the Sagarin link. Read the top of the link and use the Rating score for Iowa and the rating score for isu’s opponents and then add 3 points to who the home team was. Iowa still wins 10 games and isu still wins only 7 games with Iowa’s schedule.
Or you can keep making things up.
I’m telling you I found an unbiased site with a paywall that comparing the two teams and their schedules predicted ISU would have gone 11-2 with Iowa’s schedule and iowa would have gone 6-7 with ISU’s. Don’t kill the messenger. It was from an unbiased site!
