All Iowa Football Team---Post Bowl Edition

Stop it. I never said it didn't count. I just said I didn't think it was an accurate representation.

But good to know you think Iowa State is a big a game for your program while you will see i never had Iowa State on your list. Guess we know who's superbowl it is after all ;)

So CMC can’t motivate his players for the Iowa game and clone fans celebrate this strategy?

I've never said Iowa St. isn't a big game, silly.

You should top the superbowl stuff though, it means you've gone full Twins. You should never go full Twins.
Anyone who denies that both sides don't want to REALLY win that Cy-Hawk game is just trying to troll. It's important to both sides

Who are 5 players for each team that not many people know of that will be significant in 2020 and why?

QB Spencer Petras - KF always avoids heaping praise on new incoming QBs. That hasn't been the case with SP, which tells me the kid must be looking really good.

TE Sam LaPorta - In limited action he looked really really good, as the main guy at TE he could be the next Hock. That catch against USC was unreal.

C Tyler Linderbaum - Kid flat out demolishes on the interior line, could be our next 1st round OL after Alaric, if AJ makes it into round 1.

DE Chauncy Golston - Guy is already a fairly well-known commodity but playing opposite AJE, you're going to get little attention. He's a BEAST.

FS Jack Koerner - Another story of an Iowa walk-on being developed into a huge talent. Brings great combination of athleticism and headiness.

That's quite the statistic

I’m a man of science. I don’t think there’s any way that fall practice will start on time, at least for most schools. I think you will see a 9 game schedule universally applied, axing all non conference games, with special allowances for independent schools.

The last time you called someone a BEAST it was Amani Jones IIRC

As much as I would love to get rid of the Iowa vs Iowa State game that would suck

I’m going to try and come up with names that aren’t obvious.

1. Joe Evans. DE. Played really well in limited duty last year. I’m not sure he will start but will be a very So,I’d rotation guy. Great motor.
2. Dane Belton. Safety. I truly think he is going to be a great safety.
3. Justin Britt. OL. I think he can play anywhere. Highly recruited kid out of Indianapolis. In the two deeps as a freshman.
4. Jeff Jenkins OL. See #3 above, except obviously not from Indianapolis. Illinois I think
5. Shaun Beyer TE. Only this low because he’s been injured. Him and Laporta will do a fine job at TE.

Good post here. I don’t recognize any of these names.

The game is a bunch of fun. We have a tradition of camping that weekend with a large group of fans from both teams. To a person, UI and ISU fans, we don’t go to this game because the fan bases have gotten out of control at that game.

Petras is fairly obvious.

Linderbaum is going to be a stud.

Evans is a solid pick. Not sure about Beyer. Feels like we've seen everything we're going to see out of him, and while he seems like a good hard-working kid, it's not anything special. Kind of hoping we bring in Miamen or Yelverton and see what they can do. If their blocking is serviceable, I think they'd bring a much better up-side in terms of being an offensive weapon at TE.

Is Evans that walk on from Ames?

Belton and Britt are good ones. I don’t think Jenkins is on the team anymore.
