Yea. That's how recruiting works when teams want a guy.and they knew where he and others were on the Iowa board on a daily basis?

Lol stop. He had a large offer list and you know itNobody wanted Waggoner including Iowa

You asked if Petras will be as good as Stanley. You didn't ask if the team will be as good as last year. Now stats matter? I thought it was just about wins?

I look forward to watching it play out on the field the next few years.
You asked if Petras will be as good as Stanley. You didn't ask if the team will be as good as last year.
I didn't say he would average 200 yds per game. I said if he can put up similar stats to what Stanley did last year AGAINST ISU, Iowa can win that game.Is this real life? I mean I realize these are the world's greatest states, but the KF will have this guy on lock down. He's not throwing for more than 200 yards a game. He will be in the 150 range.
That's fine. You asked me if Petras will be as good as Stanley. If the measure is whether or not Iowa wins 10 games again, I will say Petras is not going to be as good as Stanley was last year. I think 9 wins would be a good season.I've been told quarterbacks are judged by their wins and not their "fantasy statistics"
No he didn't. Iowa didn't even want to take him until Dowling coaches got involved
He's struggling today. That's fine. You asked me if Petras will be as good as Stanley. If the measure is whether or not Iowa wins 10 games again, I will say Petras is not going to be as good as Stanley was last year. I think 9 wins would be a good season.
This happens at every school. You are naive to think otherwise.Really, you think Iowa calls up each recruit each and every day and walks them through their recruiting board and tells them who is on it and who they really want vs. who they would take if that had to?
If this is what occurs at isu it might explain why Iowa and isu end up in the rankings the way they do.

Petras literally smashed Jared Goffs records in HS. Something tells me he’s going to be pretty good. That's surprising because Iowa fans seem OK to have Stanley leave only to replace him with someone worse

This proves Waggoner had a large offer list. Even ISU wanted him.

Petras has played in 3 games in his career and Iowa is 3-0 in those games. I think he's possibly the greatest Iowa qb of all time. That's surprising because Iowa fans seem OK to have Stanley leave only to replace him with someone worse
