I'd say it was under Rhoads too.
Anyone that makes that claim about Campbell is either trolling or an idiot.
But not impossible. But yes, I wouldn't be confident either if I was a ISU fan
I think he'll do fine. Stanley didn't do anything spectacular last year in Ames and Iowa still won. 22/35 for 200 yds with no td's or int's. I'm confident Petras can put up those types of numbers. He probably won't run over a defensive tackle on the goal line like Stanley did though.
ISU had a lot to learn last year and couldn't quite get things going like the previous couple of seasons. If the staff can correct last year's issues, they'll turn those 50/50 games around. There's a lot of talent returning so I think we're optimistic about the upcoming season.
I expect Iowa to try to run the ball 50 times. The thing is, they won't be able to have any success doing it.
I think he is capable of putting up the stats that Stanley did last year. 2,900 yds 16 tds and 7 ints on 59% completion rate.
Is this real life? I mean I realize these are the world's greatest states, but the KF will have this guy on lock down. He's not throwing for more than 200 yards a game. He will be in the 150 range.
The trend with CyTwins is that he would rather talk about individual positions where in his own feeble mind isu is better. Since he can’t in any way argue why isu is the better team it really is his only play. He and his merry band of followers create their own alternative reality as some sort of coping mechanism for why they lag the achievements of the Iowa program. I mean can you on one hand say CMC is the greatest coach on isu history and at the same time still not over take Iowa? Man that would suck for clone fans. Having the greatest coach in school history and it just doesn’t matter.
The newest argument on recruiting is just down right hilarious. The argument goes that isu passes on the higher ranked recruits that Iowa gets commitments from in order to take the lower ranked kids that isu gets. Oh and this is the obvious and correct strategy to implement. My response has been that I and any other Iowa fan fully support isu passing on the recruits Iowa gets and then uses to beat isu with. What a solid strategy, keep up the great work CMC.

ISU took Will McDonald over Waggoner and McDonald is far and away the better player. But go on, continue to spout off about your “higher rated players”
It is all CyTwins has. He has to take the small little insignificant battles as wins since isu is woefully losing the war.
At least he has the full backing of the isu fan base.
Petersen was the one Iowa wanted over Waggoner but we got him instead. Safe to say that was a great call by CMC
