Iowa Football Recruiting

The whole ranked thing is so dumb and you know it. The best tight end in the state was a .83 with zero P5 offers until the day before signing day when Okie State offered. But continue looking idiotic, we love it

I know the whole ranking thing is idiotic. It is isu fans throughout this thread that believe otherwise. So you are not smacking me around as much as you are the clone fans that continually post about offers and rankings as if they are gospel.

Glad we agree on this.

me fail english?
oh great another "new member" who is a total ahole. Super, glad you hok fans have such a sad life, that you have to come annoy us all day.
It was auto corrected on my phone. I corrected it just for you. Hope you can sleep at night now.

Wow, I'm gonna need to update my post from less than 24 hours ago. 2 more commits, neither have a P5 offer and the Average player ranking on 247 has plummeted to .82.

I spoke too soon, as the Moore commitment wasn't up yet. ISU at an average player ranking of .809 right now. 8 of the 12 commits aren't even ranked nationally and 3 of them don't even have ratings.

Toledo having a rough couple of days against ISU on the recruiting front.

Iowa now with the #6 ranked class. I know it will drop, but that is still really impressive.

Average recruit ranking at the present:

Iowa 88.39
ISU 82.11

That is by far the biggest gap I’ve seen between the teams. I’m sure Iowa will drop some and ISU will rise some, but this is still shaping up to be a banner year for Iowa.

Wow, it's almost like Iowa State fans told you people that this was how his classes have always started, that our players end up and will continue to get rating boosts because CMC identifies actual talent, that it was EXTREMELY early and that this class will be fine. It's now May and we are .01 off the last two year average. Terrible troll effort honestly

It's May. Hell Brecht's ranking has already dropped since he committed to Iowa

and Brecht is still ranked higher than any isu recruit.

Do you think higher ranked recruits are just waiting for that elusive isu offer before they commit? Or will we find that as May turns to June and July the higher ranked recruits will mostly be committed elsewhere? I guess CMC can always hope and pray that there will be highly ranked kids with grade issues or something else that all other schools back off from. That would be an odd recruiting strategy but sometime schools don’t have a choice.

SouthernCy as you can see CyTwins is an example of a isu fan who buys in 100% to recruiting rankings and offers. Feel free to tell him how misguided that is.

that .01 difference that you talk about makes about 15-20 spots difference in the class rankings. I'm not a huge believer in the rankings anyway but .01 is not as insignificant as you make it sound.

Original point was that Bollers won’t want to play with the class that CMC has put together.
Once we add him our classes will be ranked pretty much the same, but ours will have more raw talent that can and will be developed by an elite coaching staff.

It is massively insignificant as it is the difference of one player. ONE. If we hypothetically land Bollers, we are there. So yea it is insignificant
