Not really sure what you're trying to show here with the made up Hok fan comment, let's dissect it:
1) OMG, HAHA! - Rude
2) YOU GUYS CANT RECRUIT! - Debatable. From what I've heard there are quite a few ISU fan's that are worried about where this class currently stands. I know next to nothing about them so no need to comment. I'd personally be nervous if Iowa's class was currently ranked where they are in player average and current offers, even knowing those both can and will change before signing day.
3) HOK STATE HOK STATE - I think we currently have bragging rights, no?
4) WE'RE WINNING ALL OF THE RECRUITING BATTLES OF GUYS YOU WANTED!!!!!! - I mean, they are.... Not sure what's wrong about this one. 10 of Iowa's guys had an ISU offer, 0 of ISU's have an Iowa offer (that will change with Bollers though).
5) HAHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!! - Rude again, I apologize for the imaginary Iowa fan.
If the linked article is supposed to imply we're only getting all of these guys because they're Iowa fans, I'm not sure why that would be a good thing at all. It would certainly play into points 3 and show that point 2 isn't enough to pull guys away.
I still don't see it. But wouldn't put it past the Iowa staff after the last week.
I'm regurgitating the talking points Hok fans make when they talk about the in state "battles" they are winning.
Also to note about offers, CMC is doing his due diligence by offering a bunch of in-state kids when he knows 75% have no interest what-so-ever. However, he knows 25% will take the offer seriously and then he can proceed from there. He never recruited Griffin Liddle hard, no point. It would be a bad look for Campbell if he DIDN'T offer the top talent in the state at least.
Also, what does it say about a Lifelong Hok who love Matt Campbell????? Shouldn't that p*ss you off?
I am a life long hawk fan and think Campbell is a good coach and respect him..... does that piss you off? lol
I went from having zero chance to at least a punchers chance now. Fidone is close with a lot of Iowa commits and Iowa is a TE factory. But that allegiance to Big Red will be tough to sway.
Ok... Are they wrong? They think they have the dominat program in the state - shocking. They're pointing out they're winning these "battles" (not sure why that's in parentheses) - they appear to be.
Again, I'm not sure how knowing 75% are not interested and missing out on the most of the other 25% is a good thing for you...
That Campbell is probably a good dude? I haven't met the guy yet but guessing I'd probably buy him a beer at Alluvial and see if he could recommend a quality dentist. Haha, you seem a little worked up over this.
I just dont understand all the hoks over here rubbing the fact that they have a great recruiting class going? We are at number 24 as of now with less commits, Campbell is pretty much on par with his other classes. I would wager many of our commitments get good ratings boosts like many of our past ones have. If you feel the need to come here and crow I feel bad you have a micropenis.
Ratings are dumb. I think myself and others have concerns with our commits offer lists
Um, do you realize what thread this is? It is dedicated to Hawkeye recruiting.
LOL on comparing the two classes. One is filled with kids that other P5 schools wanted, another isn't. One has a average player rating of .82, the other above .88. If you take last years ratings that is the difference between a top 25 (the lowest class with a .88 rating) class and the #69 class (the highest rated class with below .83 average rating.
There is a HUGE difference in recruiting classes right now, even if ISU fans don't get it.
