Iowa Football Recruiting

Crazy that if Iowa hadn't flipped Twedt, he'd be Iowa State's highest rated recruit right now. Iowa only has two recruits rated lower than Iowa State's best commit. And it appears one of those two is being graded at TE instead of DE right now. CMC's slide on the recruiting trail this year is noticeable.

Reading some quotes now on premium boards and Brecht said he just felt that Iowa was the best fit and gave him the best chance to get to the NFL. Can't wait to see him in the Black and Gold on the field.

Honestly that's like saying an OL chose Iowa State because it gave him the best chance to get to the NFL

Not sure what you are talking about, I don't think ISU had anybody get drafted did they? I do know that Hawkeyes made millions of dollars in signing bonus alone during this years draft. Probably not as much as last year, but still nothing to sneeze at for a 21-23 year old.

See if your criteria of “top 10 pick coaching staff caused him to plummet down draft boards applies to anybody in state on these.

You do get I am saying that because that is the stupid narrative over here on Hawks, right?

Purdy is a stud. But these analysts put zero thought into day after draft next year mock draft analysis. Heck a lot had Stanley as a first round talent.

Scary territory for Campbell, we will look back on all these misses for Campbell in 3 years when the results are coming through on the field. By that time KF is likely retiring on a high note with this strong recruiting class. Hate to be that guy, but this is brutal for Campbell and his staff.

So Purdy is a top 10 pick and the #3 QB drafted next year. Hopefully CMC doesn't cost him a ton of money and slid him down NFL Draft boards.

Glad Iowa's staff taught Stanley the right "mechanics". Figured with the bulk he last year he would have tied the game at Wisconsin, we all see how that worked out for him.

I mean he's worse than any WR we signed in 2020 but yes as long as they don't wreck him like they did with Martin they did good

Are you saying Brecht is worse than any isu WR signed in the 2020 class? Why doesn’t that show in the 247 rankings?
