Iowa Football Recruiting

You do understand that the idea is to make the best college team right? And ISU did better defensively against common opponents than all but Michigan on that list.

We played Minnesota and Penn State at home and not on a rain wrecked field.

Iowa shot themselves in the foot too many times in Ames, dropping a TD and settling for a field goal on a 4th and short inside the 10 when a QB sneak was guaranteed as demonstrated later in the game when Linderbaum pancaked Lima. Also missing Jackson didn't help.

I watched all those games and I wouldn't take ISU's defensive front over any of those. They were all top 25 scoring defenses for a reason.

ISU is who really hurt themselves in that game. Lots of offensive miscues due to the delays. On a clearer day ISU would have scored a ton of points in Iowa’s defense, as proven by the fact they scored 40+ on a defense better than Iowa’s.

Lmfao, Iowa was the highest rated scoring defense you played.

The second best, Notre Dame, had Purdy walking off the field as a quitter.

The 3rd and 4th ranked defenses, Kansas State and Baylor, held you to 17 and 21 points.

You're living in fantasy land.

Iowa was inside your 25 on 5 different occasions. Iowa State scored on 2 broken plays otherwise was held to a field goal.

And did all that without 4 DBs, 2 OL and a DT.

You make it too easy. Iowa’s defense had 2 draft picks on it. A second rounder and a 3rd rounder. ISU scored 40 on Oklahoma’s defense which is better than Iowa’s because it had a 1st rounder and a 3rd rounder. ISU also scored 40+ on TCU whose defense had 3 draft picks on it so it was also better than Iowa’s. Looks like ISU just was rusty in that Iowa game.

Hahaha, Oklahoma's scoring defense was rated 64th and gave up 49 in two quarters to LSU and 48 to Kansas State the week before ISU.

If they're that talented then they should fire their DC immediately because they sucked.

Maybe you didn’t read that right. They had the same amount of draft picks as Iowa’s defense only higher. So they are better. That’s your standard.

Iowa was on the road, playing in an early season, non conference rivalry game marred by weather delays and poor field conditions. They had several players/starters including a slew of players in the 2 deeps at DB out with injuries. Yet, they managed to come away with the win in a hostile environment. The tougher team won the ballgame.

ISU turned the ball over twice (once via special teams) and lost the time of possession and 3rd down efficiency battle. 124 of ISU's total yards came from two busted coverage plays.

Koerner is a walk on

Brents - 8 career tackles

Belton - 33 career tackles. No FF, FR, INT, TFL or sacks

Brents sat out the year due to injury. He started games as a true FR in 2018. Belton was a true freshman that ended up being a starter by the end of the season. He played sparingly until the about the 7th game of the year. Merriweather might win has job back at FS over Koerner. Who knows? He won the starting job last fall and was injured prior to the ISU game and ended up redshirting

I'm not very tech savvy but maybe someone can answer this for me, how does one make multiple IP addresses?

how many different accounts have you had here?

This is my only account, why would I need another? Look at the join date and the posting on the account. I post for awhile here, take a break, come back post more. I couldn't take posting here non stop, and I have never been banned.
