I wouldn’t anticipate a huge drop.
I would expect this class to finish in the mid to high 30s.

Yeah I was never saying our schedule was so much tougher, because it wasn't. You can argue it was tougher but to say it was "soooo much tougher" is an over-exaggeration.You also can't sit there and say your SOS is sooo tough because ISU beat two 5-7 teams a 4-8 team and a 3-9 team. To claim that is soooo much tougher than Iowa beating a 5-7 team a 4-8 team a 3-9 team and a 2-10 team while playing 1 more bowl eligible team, is just Clone fantasy.
The only one insufferable here is you. You have done the same thing 4 other times now. I have posted them 5 times since December 20th, and you do this same thing every time. 3 out of 5 BSC bowl computer ratings say Iowa had a tougher SOS. 5 out of 7 SOS metrics say Iowa had a tougher schedule. As soon as I link them again, all you will do is say the other metrics don't count, just like you have done before.
It really doesn't matter, but UNI was a quality opponent who would've made a bowl game had they been playing in a lower end FBS conference.I consider teams that don't become bowl eligible to be cupcakes. Other might define it otherwise, that's cools. Iowa had to play 8 bowl eligible teams last year, ISU played 7. Both played a very respectable/even tough schedule. It just is laughable when the ISU trolls try to claim that Iowa played cupcakes and ISU played some murderers row, it is simply just a fantasy that it was like that.

I think Iowa would have finished 9-3 with ISU’s schedule last year with a better shot at 10-2.

You thinking losing to Baylor, Oklahoma, and K State and then finishing 9-4 with a loss to ND in the bowl? Considering Iowa beat ISU, that puts one more win up there than what ISU got. Thinking of our other losses, I would say that OSU beats Iowa, so that now drops the record to 8-5. Can't remember other specifics off the top of my head, but would say that doesn't seem to far off.

You think Iowa would do better facing a tougher schedule?
Man if TCU would have dumped Purdue and got a real noncon P5, their schedule would have been bruuuuuuutal. It is all about winnable and lose-able games to me. Texas A&M played Clemson, Auburn, LSU, Alabama and Georgia and had the 21st ranked schedule. Just about any team would have five for sure losses with that schedule. TCU played Oklahoma and Baylor and had the 16th ranked schedule.
In this scenario I think Iowa would have a much better shot at a better record with TCU's schedule than Texas A&M's schedule.

Iowa would have lost 4 regular season games with our schedule
Oklahoma
Kansas State
Baylor
Those 3 are a given and no way they beat both Oklahoma State and Texas
Better chance that Iowa went 10-2 than 8-4 with ISU's schedule. Most likely they go 9-3.
Better chance Iowa State goes 10-2 than 8-4 with Iowa's schedule. Most likely they go 9-3
ISU would have lost to Iowa, Michigan, PSU, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
Penn State, Wisconsin and one other. 9-3
ISU would have lost to Iowa, Michigan, PSU, Wisconsin and Minnesota.
We already know that you would have lost to Iowa.
