Wow. He’s lucky they didn’t give it to him in 2000mg doses.A friend of mine's dad had something called Q fever a couple of years ago. They gave him that medication and it worked.

So Casey's brass is contemplating shutting down convenience stores by this weekend. They are trying to figure out how they can keep the pumps on 24 hours though.

Here is an article that highlights some of the main points of the press conference today..
I really don't like how our Public Health Deputy Director stated, “It's important to understand that sheltering in place for two or three weeks will not cause the coronavirus to go away,” Iowa Department of Public Health Deputy Director Sarah Reisetter said at a Tuesday news conference. “That's because this virus is circulating around the world and can be reintroduced into communities from different places.”
The importance of sheltering in place, as other states have gone to, is not to make the coronavirus "go away". That's not how it works. It's going to be here for a while. The importance of such a thing is to help slow down the spread of it so our hospitals are not overrun all at once. Hospitals all over the state are gearing up for this to happen as most data shows the worst has yet to come.
Polk and Johnson County Mayors have been in Reynold's ear trying to explain to her the need for some sort of shut down. I'm not sure what it's going to take as far as positive cases / deaths for her to end up going down that road.
So why don't those counties or mayors shut down?
Why doesn't the Governor shut it down???? Or even the mayors of the larger counties?? In possibly 1-2 weeks the largest industry in Iowa is going to break loose and throwing a wrench into that could absolutely devastate the state and a bunch of its residents. If we still had a foot of snow on the ground and 25-30 degree temps maybe, but when we are the end of March with things getting ready to roll, there is not a Governor of Iowa that would ever do that.
It's pretty obvious that Reynolds has no clue how this virus works. She's always stated for the most part that it's not an issue until you have symptoms. That is SO wrong, and so dangerous.
She didn't want to shut any school down until they had a case of corona. How flippin' clueless is that? Idiotic.
What state?I work for a major animal ag company, they emailed out a letter for us to have in our vehicles saying we are essential workers. Im guessing a lockdown is coming soon.
Reynolds just said today that a lockdown was unnecessary in Iowa.I work for a major animal ag company, they emailed out a letter for us to have in our vehicles saying we are essential workers. Im guessing a lockdown is coming soon.

Keep that for your next review. If they give you any issues, you can say even the Governor thinks you’re essential.I work for a major animal ag company, they emailed out a letter for us to have in our vehicles saying we are essential workers. Im guessing a lockdown is coming soon.

Sorry I made it political, but we don't currently have a coronavirus Iowa based forum where politics is allowed, correct?
Just ran up to our local Casey's, as you enter the store they have a orange cone and black line of tape on the floor, 3 feet from the counter. They are telling you to stay behind the tape, you step up to put your stuff on the counter, the person behind the counter steps back, then you step back as they ring up the sell and pay, she then steps back so your can grab your stuff. Looked like we were doing a dance of some kind.
Donuts and pizza have to be retrieved from the cases by a worker, no longer able to grab your own.
Its getting real folks.
