MLB: Rays Could Be Getting Stronger

Not sure this would be a great trade for TB. They would lose two end of the rotation starters, which I guess wouldn't be that big of a deal with David Price coming up, but its key to have starting pitching depth. Also, they haven't shown any commitment to paying for stars and Holliday would command a 100M+ paycheck. I would say keep your young locked up talent and maybe go after some cheaper free agent. He would be a another good bat in that lineup though.
Possible Matt Holliday for Edwin Jackson and Andy Sonnanstine trade. Could be a great move for both teams...

They have a backlog of starting pitching, so they can make some moves to keep momentum... Price is ready to step in so, so that gives them 4 solid starters. They have former #1 pick Jeff Niemann ready to go, if he can stay healthy. Top prospect Wade Davis is just about ready, if not ready to go. Mitch Talbot, can fill in and add some depth as can AAAA pitchers Jeremy Cummings and Jae Kuk Ryu can also add some depth.

Not to mention, losing Holliday to free agency will also net them picks. This team was built through the draft and can be sustained through the draft, but they also need to grab the momentum while they can!
