Connor is the epitome of unsporstmanlike behavior. You only need to watch one game to see it because, it has been evident in all of them. He visits sick children and gets good grades? Cool. What's that got to do with sportsmanship? Point is, when the lights come on and the cameras start rolling, he is a giant doosh in front of a few thousand fans live, and the thousands more on live Television. This award is fake, and anyone who says otherwise is only fooling themselves. It's almost as if it were done as a joke, which is sad, considering there may have been others who actually care about sportsmanship and winning such awards. But lets make a mockery of it and give it to someone who represents the exact opposite of what the award is intended for. This is so disgusting on so many levels.

I have always thought it was funny when message board warriors call athletes $hitbags, etc because of how they act on the court. You see it a lot in wrestling. I would venture to say many of the times they are good kids that get wrapped up in the intensity of the game. It doesnt make them a bad person but sometimes they need to learn to control their emotions. In the Illinois game I didnt see Connor do anything there to provoke that. He showed self restraint by not physically reacting to the elbow thrown his way.
