Gitty, I never mentioned any athlete's names if you noticed. Just stating the "ethical" part of it when the Big 10 gives an award for it. Just a bad take for the Big 10 I think, considering what has happened and the MSU thing is still not over yet.

If Texas beats Tech this week in KC.. Iowa will probably have zero wins against tournament teams away from Carver. 1 Quad 3 loss at home and another on the road...
It comes off like you are saying a player from those schools shouldn't be eligible for a sportsmanship award because of something that happened at their school, totally unrelated to the basketball teams.
Rasir averaged 14.7 points shooting a total FG% at 40.4%. He was 45% on 2's and 34% from 3. In conference, Rasir shot 38% from the 3.
Yeah but the NFL gives a similar award for guys who go above and beyond in their off the field efforts, while still having loads of players within the league that have numerous problems off the field.
They didn't give the award to anyone connected to those terrible events that happened. They gave it to someone who is just a shocking choice. Connor hasn't exactly shown great "sportsmanship" or "ethics" while on or off the court, but he also is on the opposite end of the spectrum compared to the other individuals in the Big 10 you were referring to.
Last year, Lindell Wigginton shot 39.1% in conference with 1.8 turnovers, 2.1 assists, only shot 70% at the FT line, averaged 13.1 points, and won 6 man of the year.
Good for MadCon, but I would venture to say that Lurch makes the little whiner look better than the average hok fan believes.
13.1 pts looks nice for a 6th man but the rest of it is blah. CyTwins said Wiggington didn't play good defense either or at least not any better than Bolton.

Best site out there for bracketology. Iowa is a 6 seed. That's the average across about 80 different site projections.
Wigginton played pretty terrible defense, but he was a highlight reel type of guy, sometimes on both ends. He'd give up a wide open layup and then go up and pin a 6'10" dude off the glass. He could come in and immediately wow everyone and provided a great spark off the bench. Numbers don't really justify that.
