The Fran fade

From the B1G website:

One member of each varsity sports team on every campus was chosen by his or her institution as a Sportsmanship Award honoree.

So yeah, Fran picked his son for the award.

First rule of coaching your kids, don’t pick them for any award, other parents hate that.

So Twins was wrong about Winston winning Big Ten POY.

Still sticking by Vernon Carey being 1st team AA over Garza? Noticed he wasn't even on the Wooden Award finalist list, and wasn't player of the year in his own conference.

I thought I said I wouldn't be surprised if Winston won it. I'm not sure I ever said I predicted that

Because Bolton shot under 40% in conference play and had a negative assist to turnover ratio. 3.2 turnovers per game...wow. He's a solid free throw shooter though which keeps his scoring average up.

Told you he would get HM All Conference

How does one get a negative ratio? Just out of curiosity

HM in the BIG 12 this year is like a participation ribbon.
You're acting like the Big 12 is a terrible this year, when they're still rated as one of the best conferences in the nation and even is rated the best conference in the nation by RPI standards. And yes, I understand we don't really use the RPI anymore. I'm just saying the Big 12 is not some walk in the park..

Im not putting down your conference. My point is they name 5 players the 1st 3 teams then list about a dozen as honorable mention.

Examples of assist to turnover ratios:
Marcus Garrett - 144 assists to 54 turnovers = ratio of 2.67 per game
Connor McCaffrey - 124 assists to 27 turnovers = ratio of 4.59 per game
Rasir Bolton - 84 assists to 83 turnovers = ratio of 1.01 per game

Congrats to Bolton - he got back to a 1:1 ratio.

Why do you care about those types of things? It's like caring about a visor, a clock, a color, etc.
