If it doesn't bother you, then whatever. To me it's indicative of a lack of mental toughness. "It's someone else's fault we lost" is not a mark of a mentally tough group.
I hate saying this, but I don't think it's too crazy to think Iowa beats Minnesota then Illinois in the Big 10 tourney. Hope you are right though and that Frans awfulness in the BTT continues.
Frans teams have definitely taken that mentality throughout Frans entire career. It's really a bad look.
It was Frazier. Had to have been one of the worst decisions I have seen in years, a shot clock violation would have been substantially better for his team.
All of those links I attached have Iowa as a 6 seed except Torvik who has them as the first 7 seed. Andy Katz has them as a 5 still as of 1 hour ago on Twitter:
He said that the committee went chalk with NET rankings for their bracket last year. That's not true.
Well Minnesota is awful so that wouldn't surprise me but I'm guessing Fran's never won two BTT games in one year. Plus Iowa played about as well as possible yesterday and still lost to Illinois
What does the committee use besides NET and KenPom though? I don't believe they use AP poll
No and he shouldn't have to be and Iowa's success will diminish if they're going to rely on Connor to consistently be a scorer. That's not who he is or why he's out on the court. He's there to distribute to guys like Joe and Garza, get them in the offense, and play defense on the other end. Connor sure stepped up last night, but I wouldn't want to count on him having to make consecutive three pointers to stay in a game later on down the road.

It doesn't bother me when Joe or Fredrick answer a question honestly. They both admitted that if that is the way the game is going to be called, they need to adjust and be more physical as well. If it becomes a pattern with those two then it needs to be addressed.
That bracket is obviously going to change but lordy I would not be happy to pull SFA first round of the tournament. SFA is 28-3, lost one game in conference, and their other two losses come to Alabama and Rutgers. They won at #1 Duke back in late November as well.
I'll probably be picking them in the first round no matter who they play.
It is a total reflection of Fran's coaching. His players have to be absorbing his complaining and showing up of the officials during games and post game abrasive responses to fair media questions leads to a lot of there player complaining on social media or to reporters after games.
One would have to assume that they are just taking their cue from Fran's constant confrontation to their responses. Rather than mentally toughen and figure out a way to overcome the adversity they blame the fouls and the other teams are playing dirty.
I agree with this, but they've now responded to questions with excuses towards referees in two of the last three games and coincidentally the game they didn't talk about the refs at all they won.
Either go out and be more physical like the other team, or just say you're not going to comment about the officiating. Iowa was 15/15 at the FT against Illinois and was credited for 1 less foul than them. Illinois shot two more FT's than Iowa and only made 11 of them. I watched the entire game and thought as a whole, the officiating was even. There were some good calls both ways and there were some bad calls both ways. The refs did not cost Iowa that game at all. I'm not saying you were saying that either, I'm just making a general statement.
Every other team gets their kids to take the high road. Iowa doesn't. Again-- not hard to tell why that is.
Nearly every Big 10 team in that bracket has better seeding than I expected.
